I should introduce myself. I am thirteen, and I live in Baldwin, Mayland. I like reading, drawing, getting on the computer, biking, swimming, (i must be a water spirit), horseback riding, and all sorts of other physical stuff. Most of all, I LOVE WRITING!!!!!Yayness! I have writtten many, comic book and novel form, but only finished one so far. That was in fifth grade. But I'm in eighth, and I plan on finishing the one I'm currently working on. The title sounds stupid...I think I'm gonna change it when I get done. It's part of a series, and all my books lately, have of course, been about dragons and wars, and s**t like that. Yeah, that's me.
Uh, blurg. It's ten in the morning. I usually get up at eight, but I slept through my alarm, and then my parents had to wake me up at nine. Yeah, I was only up till twelve....maybe I just haven't been getting enough sleep lately.
Whatever. So, yeah, my parents are going rockclimbing until one or two, and I have to go get some stuff done while they're gone...the stupid thing is, they know I'm not going to, so why even ask? *sigh*(once im done this post i will leave to do laundry...yay?)
Still on the subject of rockclimbing. My dad broke his ankle during the summer from leadclimbing(its where you go up with the rope, instead of just going plain up it. you clip the rope into holders along the way). He was on a dangerous one, and he didn't secure his grip before he tried to clip the rope in the second one. He was just about to clip it in when he slipped. You're probably thinking, "Well, it would catch him, wouldn't it? Or the belayer would?" That's not true before you clip it in the second ring, on this climb.
So he fell, all the way down to the ground,(some twenty feet), and shattered his heel bone, though luckily it didn't spread out in his foot, and he didn't need surgery for a metal heel. Pheww.
He and his heel are doing fine now. ^_^
I wanted to show you a good poem I wrote - a REALLY good one - but I can't find it.
