Through life I have struggled
Struggled to be
Important to someone close to me

But people change
Over time they'll leave
They'll break all the bonds that you tried to weave

Then there will be more people
They come into your life
They show you a different route from your knife

But people or more complex than you think
They can be a completely different person
And you may never know the reason

When someone becomes more important
More important than you
You will do everything for them that you can do

But in return you may get nothing
Nothing but a broken heart
And paint your spirit black like an art

Sometimes you try so hard
You just want them to trust you
You don't want to hurt them like people do

You'll try and try
And maybe with fail
But you'll help them even when you want to bail

You could be depressed
And all you want is help
But you're the one who has to pull them out of the kelp

No matter how hard your heart hurts
If they are not happy
It doesn't matter if you feel crappy

Whether they appreciate your help
That's a win or lose
Whether you love them,you must choose

You think why you love them
You love them to death
So you'll help them,'til your last breath
