So that previous story snippet can go one of 2 ways... The one where the reader wakes up as "Hat Guy". Either it can happen in the Genshin timeline b4 the event that changes the entire course of his life, or it can happen after and there're only a few who even know of him...
A) He gets "lost" in the jungles of Sumeru, falls and it begins where the reader wakes up after the fall, as described. He's a part of the Fatui, being tracked down for the Gnosis he stole, therefore the reader has a Gnosis tucked away somewhere and has to keep their head down. If anyone spots him and is familiar with the Balladeer, the reader is le screwed. Traveler and Dendro Archon may be able to help... But that's risky too... And then there's the Doctor...
B) After going through the big life altering event, this is where the reader wakes up as him, having been teleported somewhere random in the jungles of Sumeru. Only the Traveler and Dendro Archon know of him due to [redacted due to spoilers]
