evil I DESPISE CHIVALRY. scream Chivalry tells us that we should treat females as things other than equals. According to the rules of chivalry, we are supposed to not use coarse language around females; pull out chairs for females; never hit females; open doors for females; save "women and children first" in emergency situations; and all the rest of the aspects of chivalry. All chivalry does is say that women should be treated better than men. And this suggests that they are weaker and/or more deserving than men. The reason that we give people with disabilites privileges, is because they are in some way weaker than people who do not have these disabilities. Women are not disabled. They should be treated the same as men. I believe that we should destroy chivalry and focus more on common courtesy. Common courtesy is just chivalry that applies to both genders. The world has had many problems with getting rid of sexism. But the world seems to be focusing mostly on the sexisms that are are an inconvenience to the particular gender involved. I think that part of the reason chivalry is not gone is that it is a positive thing for women. So they do not want to get rid of it. This is selfish. If you are going to get rid of sexism, you cannot just pick and choose, "Ok, we'll get rid of this one and keep this one.". You have to get rid of it all. Sexism that is beneficial is still sexism. And most people agree that sexism is bad. So to be truly rid of it, chivalry must be destroyed. 3nodding
