Even though you were talking to them because you thought they were a friend and you needed some advice and a shoulder to cry on for a bit, they just turn out to be dreadful old gossips who can't wait to get out of there so they can twist your words and make you look like an idiot in front of the people you care about most.

The longer I live in this town the more I realise that you can't really trust anyone. Not with things that really matter. Less than 24 hours ago I was sat with a girl who I considered to be a friend, I was a bit upset about some stuff and I confided in her.

Apparently I've accused him with having an affair with a colleague.
Now normally this wouldn't be a problem, but things have been a bit strained recently. Money worries and work and christmas stress have made things a bit harder than they would normally be. I know in my heart that I love this guy, and I would never do anything to hurt him. As I mentioned in previous entries, I trust him implicitly and I know he cares about me. It's sad that other people can't just be happy for the both of us and let us get on with our lives without stirring and gossiping.
Sam Rayburn

The next time I need to get things off my chest I'll either talk to my man or talk to myself. At least that way no one can twist the trusth into ugly rumors.
