“Why?” My brother said.

“Because in this war you need to fight to survive, kill to live. That’s exactly what I’m doing.”


And with that, he left.

For the rest of the day I was left crying.


When I got back to my senses, I buried my parents next to each other in the back yard.


It was done poorly but it was the best I could do.

After that, I washed of as much blood off the kitchen floor and walls as I could.


Then I packed my stuff and left. That was the last thing I remember of my family.
