Anyway, I don't really like chatting with people, especially those I don't know. Sometimes I meet interesting people, but I haven't really made a friend yet through Fishing. I like exchanging tips and once someone caught a Tootin' Tino in the room I was in. (She sold it to the store...That made me quite sad. )
But...every now and again, something weird happens. Like this:

New Site Design
Well...What I'll say has already been said a million times, and better, to boot. But I'll jump on the bandwagon and outline some things that have or have not bothered me.
1. I don't mind the white space.
2. I mind the new spammy emoticons. xp
3. The Mouseovers need to come back over the menus.
4. Scrolling to the bottom of the page to get to the direct links is terribly inconvenient and inefficient.
5. There needs to be a direct link to Subscribed Threads.
6. There really needs to be a way out of the Profiles. You click one and you're stuck unless you press "Back". gonk
7. The avatar picture needs to be bigger.
8. The PM and other icons need to be hovering over avatars again. I'll certainly miss the notifications because they're so small.
9. The Marketplace needs to be fixed. Really. Things get expired and backlogged all the time, and it's the same error over and over again. It's been a good 2 years since the Vend was established; these errors shouldn't be repeating themselves. Moreover, the new search system is really inconvenient. The old system you could write something like "Leather col" and come up with the results for Leather Collar with Cross. But now you have to write in the quotation marks "Leather Collar With Cross", otherwise you'll end up with everything that has the word 'leather' in it. And now you have to write full words, otherwise it won't work. For example, if you wanted Penguin Slippers, you could type in "Pengu" in the old system and get what you wanted. Now you have to type in "Penguin", which isn't that much of a stretch, but if it's something longer, you'll have to type the whole thing out. stressed
Technically, the Marketplace one isn't part of the new design, but it's been bothering me for awhile. I really cannot see why this new system was adopted. It's less efficient, less user-friendly, and doesn't even search that well. xp (Is there a Site Feedback thread for this? Please let me know if there is. sweatdrop )
Travelling
I went to the U.S.A. for work this week. eek That sounds so professional, but I'm really the lowest on the food chain. Anyway, we went for three days and not surprisingly, I screwed up. cry Basically, I ended up costing people a lot of time, and I probably consequently messed up the results. I feel so horrible. I love my job, so I just feel absolutely miserable that I let people down. I'm likely making it a bigger deal than it is, but, well, I can't help but beat myself up about it.
So I called home when I got back. I talked to my dad first and let him know that I didn't get killed, and then to my sister about all the things I wasn't used to in the U.S.A. (Miles per hour? I'm used to kilometers per hour. And a lot of people had accents there! whee ) Then I talked to my mom for a bit, and then finally talked to my dad again about how I screwed up. sweatdrop Yea, I love my dad. heart He made me feel better and sent me an email the next day giving advice on how to not mess up next time. ^^
It was a good trip other than that. The people I went with are awesome, and we got to stay in a motel. I don't travel often, so it was really fun for me. The last time I've been to the U.S.A. was when I was five, and my family went to Disneyworld. :Xd And I took pictures! I neglect my camera shamefully. But here's one of the few I took the night we went to the grocery store. The clouds were really beautiful, but by the time I went back to the room to get my camera, they weren't as nice. Of course.
And I'm going back there soon. And on another similar trip next week.
I will not mess up this time. mad
