She had apparently first experienced this song when she saw Gnarls Barkley perform it at the Grammy awards last night or two nights ago, whatever... whenever the show aired, alrighty? XD
She loved what they did, loved the song, and just HAD to share her love with me...
... and I like the song, so I really don't care. XD
The song makes me feel a little erratic. The beat is very steady, with that pounding bass and the pocket drumming. However, those extra 'electronic' aspects add to it, and the singing is very much sort of soul and R&B. It's pretty new... and I'm happy. It was about time someone took us way out of the nineties and planted us firmly in the 2000's. n_n
I feel like 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley does just that.
... As do a few songs like El Manana and Feel Good Inc. by the Gorillaz. n_n; But then again, I'm biased... and also hating Jamie Hewlett for ACTUALLY 'killing' her. >_<
