Fellow doll hunters, it has been announced that Mattel will be doing drastic changes to the Monster High dolls and redesigning the faces of the dolls, style of clothing and boxes. Mattel said that some people consider the Monster High dolls to be "too dark or scary". Monster high became popular because of their different style they had, compared to everything else on the market. Have they even seen how empty the shelves are at Christmas time! The dolls sell great as they are.

I'm guessing many fans will be boycotting buying the new dolls especially die hard fans and collectors. They don't look edgy and cool any more but rather more bland and prissy princess like in the faces. Also does anyone else think they look a lot like the Disney descendants dolls in the face. Monster high stands for "Be yourself! Be unique! Be a monster" but now its more like "Be yourself! Be unique! if people think your too different or scary then change!"
