My finger has made a healthy recovery and is back at work.
I've been trying the Gaia fishing now that all the major flaws have been removed. In fact, I've developed a rather interesting technique with the trackpad of my iBook while playing the Bass'ken lake game. Not quite as accurate as using a mouse, but fun enough for 10 minutes.
