Poem: What would it be like

Jade's P.O.V.

I know it hasn't been the very best,
but I know that it could be better.
Things continue to happen and we keep passing each other by.
So I wonder-
What would it be like if we stopped and met half way.
If we decided to sit down with our backs together,
talk until the next morning light.
Would we laugh or would we fight?
I can't help, but wonder,
what would it be like if we were still friends.
Now and days we are all upset and fighting.
It's no wonder why we can't get along.
One by one we all took different roads and I,
seemed to have taken a dark road.
And you tried your best to bring me back.
You tried everything and in the end, I still couldn't hear you.
I wasn't trying to ignore you.
It's just my heart wouldn't let up.
So now I wonder...
What would it be like, if you told me you loved me before-
all this crazy and mad events ever happened.
Before I lost my mind and our hearts broke into two.
Would I be in your arms?
Would I smile at every time you tried to be, ironic.
I still wonder, what it would be like....
What it would be like if we had a fresh new start,
and we knew what road not to take.
I wonder if we could have meet half way and sat down with our backs together.
Talk until the next morning light as we would laugh through the night.
Do you wonder too....
What would it be like, if we were together?
Because, I can imagine, me saying to you...
