I want to say my peace. I am ready to move on and let go. I will not make this be another lecture to pick out your shortcomings. This will be about mine.
I know I could have been a better boyfriend, because I feel like I could have been. I could have been more thoughtful and surprise you more and show you that I cared about you because I really did. Perhaps surprise you with little doodles just for you I made in your absence instead of having smothered you in our early years. Bought you little trinkets that made me think of you.
I wish I have had the opportunity to become the man you needed me to be and the man I wanted to become, for you and for me. The man who makes you open and share your important thoughts, because I valued you. I know it didn't seem like that at times and for that I'm sorry. I've had my reasons.
I am sorry for ever hurting you in any way. I hope you can forgive my wrongs as I have forgiven myself. Take great care of yourself as I would if I was there.
