Simplicity in the overlook
Drops of dew down by the brook
A child's fair game in a field of flowers
My, they do nothing but cower
An innocence so frail
Now he's shaking and pale
Fire and brimstone await your end
But will your will ever bend?
A drop of dew stained red
A drop that the child once bled
It coats the tower, the street
It coats the sound of so many feet
So down, by the fortress, by the castle's last stand
They wage their war by a shore of bloody, bloody sand
The river will carry away the blood and the bodies
But that innocent child on the streets that day
He won't ever be okay
Hmm...short piece that originally started out a random poem...then kinda turned into a dedication to a certain revolution in the past. Key points that, in my mind, give which revolution it was away...the reference to 'the fortress'...I refer to a brook/river...not much to go off of, but, hey. I'll give a box of digital pocky to anyone who gets it.
