Longest and 2nd longest RP posts ever:
2nd Longest: By Raven in Oppression RP
Quote: Raven stared back at Slate with cold, lifeless eyes. She was quite aware how easy it could be to kill him with one of her daggers, seeing how he was unarmed and had been locked up in a dungeon cell for years on end. Raven had been outside, practicing her delicate art of torture and her dark magic, not to mention just all out killing. Looking into his eyes, she allowed a slight glimmer of something to show in her eyes. It wasn't like the rest of her, seeing as it seemed almost happy.
It was a good question. Why did she serve Hrothgar? A question she didn't ask herself on many occasions. Raven brought out one of her poisoned daggers and held it to his throat, backing him up against one of the walls of his cell.
"Yes. I plan on killing you and enjoying every second you suffer from the poison."
She sighed and paused for a moment. If this man was going to die, she didn't mind telling him how she came into Hrothgar's hands and why she enjoyed it so.
"I knew your brother before you both left...I don't think you knew me then, though. I didn't look like this... "
Again she sighed and tightened her grip on him, pressing the dagger closer to his neck.
"Your father wanted Hrothgar to court Lady Antoinette, the daughter of a noble family who the king was close to and loved. Typical of Hrothgar, he went against your father. He was always rebellious then. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with Lady Antoinette. She was beautiful and intelligent. She had a kind air around her at almost all times of the day and never really mistreated anyone.
So, your brother had a little affair with me, Lady Raven of a lower noble house. I'm not commonborn, you know. Well, that all went well until some damn seer predicted that we'd be caught and to pay for it I'd end up killing both my parents and my younger sister and older brother. Of course, we didn't beleive it. Seers can be ridiculous. Sometimes they hide the truth behind pretty words, but this seer had spelled it out pretty clear.
Needless to say, your father found me in the palace with your brother one night and threw me out. I believe you were asleep at that time. Your father didn't make too much noise and your brother was a little dazed with shock. The king wouldn't speak of his prince son having an affair outside of the watch of him so he kept it to himself. My parents and siblings died at my hands the night I was thrown out of the castle, as I shared my rage. My anger controled me and I slit all of their throats. They didn't even let out a scream. Just looked at me, cold dark eyes.... stared at me. The next morning I was found with their bodies, blood all over me. In my hand was the knife I had used. I didn't cry as many useless pitiful women do. I just stared at their bodies with wide eyes and tried to understand my actions. I couldn't. I was doomed to that fate the moment I set eyes on your brother. It is widely known, Slate, that one cannot escape one's destiny or fate. Run as much as you want but you just can't. It catches you with it's lies and false hopes much like a spider entraps a fly.
After being found I left the city before they could throw me out and went out onto the battlefield where you were both fighting, finding Hrothgar after much looking. It had only been a week since you both had left. My face was disfigured and my body crippled by the constant beatings I gave myself, not knowing how else to find forgivness for my sin. I went to your brother and explained everything. Amazingly, he didn't hurt me but rather cured me of my own poison. My blood is what's on this dagger, Slate. It's the poison that kills people. Your brother cured me with himself. He made a small slit in the palm of my hand and the same one in his and pressed our palms together. It was an old spell, long forgotten but still just as effective. Over the course of a few hours I became what you are gazing upon now."
Ending her tale, Raven took a large breath of relief. She hated telling her story. It made her seem pathetic and sad. She wasn't sad. Killing helped her revive herself. Every bone and muscle in her body benefited from each kill, bringing her closer and closer to complete happiness. The spell Hrothgar had used was dark magic, the reason for it being long forgotten. How he knew it? She didn't know or care, as long as it had saved her. That had started her alligence to Hrothgar and she would never falter from that path. She belonged to him, she served him, she was almost a part of him. Leaving him would be impossible.
Just as Raven was about to slit Slate's throat Hrothgar, himself came rushing in and told her to leave the kingdom until the child was born.
"My lord, that is ridiculous! I cannot leave you here with these disgusting rebels. I stand by you until death. I'll even stand by you after death if possible. I cannot leave you. I WILL NOT leave you. My mind and body cannot handle being without your presence nearby."
Raven's face crumpled up in anger and she followed the king.
"HROTHGAR I WILL NOT LEAVE!"
She yelled, louder than she thought she could.
Longest RP Post so far: By Lady Alanna in the Fox vs. Wolves RP in the guild
Quote: Alanna fell into a restless sleep after coming back to the cave with Kousuke. For hours she tossed and turned and ruffled up her whole sleeping area, surely disturbing her mate. Yet... she couldn't help it... nightmares of things past and things to come plauged her mind as she slept in her private chambers.
Mother and Father... their blood on my human hands... Humans are such vile creatures...
She turned over in her sleep so that she was facing the left end of her chambers and mumbled incoherently. Her face scruntched up in confusion and anger and other emotions that were unnamable at that time.
"Alanna... kill us now. We command it. Kill us or the whole pack will go into ruin and insanity at your fault. Kill us or you will be banished and we will kill ourselves... You know tradition as well as we do. We've drilled it into you for ten years now... from birth until your time to take over... Take the daggers and plunge them through our hearts. Hold our hands as we die so that we may transfer our power and being into you."
Vaesorali Tarantella said to the average-sized fox with deep orange-red fur and sad green eyes. Vaesorali's daughter...
"You have enough strength to rule our people, my daughter. Our hearts will be with you when we go through the energy transfer. Accept your fate like so many Alphas have done before you. I had to kill my parents just as you are having to do now. This is just a part of an Alpha fox's life."
Tharaes had said. He was saddened to be leaving his daughter at such a young age. Yet, wasn't this how he had gone though his Alpha ceremony? Killed his parents to rule the pack and then taken on a mate... Vaesorali... who had willingly come into power with him and made his life have more meaning. But now... he couldn't believe it... his daughter was so young... He could imagine the terror of having to stab your parents in the heart. Tharaes had gone through it, himself at ten.
The young kit looked at her parents with a scared, confused look in her eyes. Sure, she had heard millions of times how her ceremony would go... but she had always dreaded the day it would come... Her tenth birthday would be her parent's death day... She'd never celebrate any sort of birthday for the rest of her life. No, an Alpha gave up his or her birthday celebration to spend the day praying for their parents' souls. That's when mother and father visited her in spirit and talked her though her own problems, or so she had been told...
"Mother... Father... Isn't there... any other way? Why! Why do you have to die for me to take over!? It doesn't make sense! I love you! I want you to stay with me! Please! Please!"
"Shhhh.... my kit.... we will always be here with you. We have to go through with the ceremony for the good of the pack and so we obey the law of the council. That's just how it has to be, my daughter."
Vaesorali nuzzled her kit as the young one began to silently weep.
"Yes, daughter, you will always have us watching over you and the pack. Have faith."
Tharaes nuzzled the other side and finally both Alphas retreated to their place in the small cave. It was time...
Alanna dried the tears on her sleeve and brought out the daggers, letting the emotion fall out of her as she worked. The two Alphas laid on the ground, ready for their cruel fate.
The kit spoke the words needed...
"Vaesorali! Tharaes! Si sosti car tysti thys si vyrdaes sai var sai si vondrer caes. Jhaer shyr thyrn thaelia eil kalaerelia sor bol. Shor si eilol maer sar shol os mosor sai toli, vaezaes os vyrorol eil koli iar os jholaer... thys si kyr os os vaedi."
When the spell finished, the kit plunged the daggers in their hearts and watched as their eyes widened in shock, only to slowly close as the life drained out of them. The daggers would stay in place as the kit held onto the paws of the Alphas and let their energy flow into her. Finally, when both foxes were dead, the kit left the cave and proclaimed her position to her pack. They all nodded in approval. The kit was strong of heart... and who wouldn't be? After killing your own parents.... Alanna strapped her sword onto her waist and went back to the cave to burn the bodies of her parents.
Into the cave she went... but the bodies... weren't there! A sick panic came over her. Something was wrong! Who would have stolen mother and father's bodies!? It was sacred ground! They had warded it themselves that morning!
"This... this isn't how it's supposed to be..."
Suddenly, the scene changed and she was fighting with Kousuke in her demon form. Insanity took over but she could still see and understand what was going on. The battle had been cancelled for Alanna was dangerous in that form but the demon did not obey fox rules and traditions... The demon pounced on Kousuke and bit into his neck. Internally, Alanna screamed. Kousuke fell to the ground, blood rushing from his throat. Renku, Kilani, and the rest of the pack were staring at her as she slowly faded back into normal form for the demon was finally satisfied. She looked at them all... disgust showing on their faces. Alanna took a step closer to them...
"I... I... It wasn't me! The demon! She! She! She took over! I couldn't help it! Please believe me! I had no power to stop her."
The kits and pups of the pack cowered in fear but Renku and Kilani still had a look of hate in their eyes...
"Get out of this place, you foul creature. You don't belong here... You don't deserve to be Alpha Female of your fox pack. You are a disgrace, a good-for-nothing, demon-infested, shame to your family and pack, alike. You're banished from both wolf and fox territory forever. Now get out."
Renku's cold voice sent chills through her body as she looked back at Kilani to see that the sorceress was nodding her head in agreement.
"No..... I... It wasn't my fault..."
Kilani barked and barred her teeth at the former Alpha Female.
"OUT!"
She ran... ran hard and fast through the forest to which she could never return, tears staining her fur. Surely the goddess would not wish her to be her favored one now... now that she had done such terrible things... It wasn't long before she found the borders of both wolf and fox territory and ran past them, only to bump into the one person she would least like to see....
"Aikechi...."
Her anger was apperant in her voice as she growled at him.
"Aww... poor little fox woman... no one wants to be around you anymore. You're a failure as a leader to your people. Your parents were idiots to think that you could lead in their place... And now... I'm going to kill your whole pack and there's not one thing you can do about it."
Her eyes widened in terror and fear as she realized that he was right... She couldn't warn her pack for they had banished her out of their lands... she was helpless and as good as dead.
"Here, let me help you put yourself out of your misery..."
The man laughed as her brought his sword to her neck. Alanna stopped him for a moment and grabbed the blade of his sword, cutting into the palms of her hands, and moved it so it was pointing directly at her heart.
Aikechi pushed the sword in and the pain was too terrible to bear.
Alanna screamed...
Yes, Alanna had screamed, but it was as she woke up suddenly, only to find herself still in her cave. Cold sweat ran down her face as she turned to find her mate sleeping peacefully... well not anymore she supposed for his eyes were opening.
She had screamed... loudly at that...
"I've probably woken the whole pack by now..."
She said with a sigh.
What a terrible dream...
((In case you're wondering what the spell actually says, here's the translation for it. Vaesorali! Tharaes! The time has come for the power to pass to the rightful heir. Let blood flow freely and gracefully this night. With the ancient spell that binds your spirits to mine, reject your position and give up your lives... for the good of your people. Woo for long posty goodness. I had the time and I felt like being creative... heh heh heh))
