Into the Looking Glass

Tribute for Battle Royale


I walk down the trail,
Sycthe in my hand,
Searching for prey....

My mind is unclear,
My thoughts are barred,
And my destiny is vague
But the weapon I hold is telling me,
The task I must do

I hear footsteps,
Troding nearer
I turn around to see,
The next I shall slay

I hold my discloser inside,
For the next fated to die,
Was the one I would die for

And as my heart races faster,
I close my eyes,
And hesitates to kill,
Hoping for a moment longer

As I lift my arm,
Every movement hurts me,
Sharp pain suddenly slices through my heart.....
Then I realized,
I had a heart...

Where has it been?
I fall down to my knees,
I was lost in thought,
not noticing the pain had been real,
And my life was draining away...

But before I die,
I look into a looking glass,
I see my past,
My sins,
My lost hopes and dreams....

I see myself...
In a dark withered form
What have a become?
When was I a black rose?

I stared into the looking glass a little longer...
Hoping to see more...
But another dose of pain,
Told me I had cracked my mirror

I finally realize what really died,
And it left such a long time ago...
As if nothing had happened,
I lived without it...
My soul

But now....
I can finally die compeletly
And die realizing the missing part of me.
Into the looking glass I saw it,
And into the looking glass I fall...
