finally my joy came back after a long while,
finally the ability to muster a smile,
long has it been since a smile spread across my lips,
and my heart stopped its dark flips,

sent my spirits to a realm above,
a feeling of content finally reached,
finally the cage of my complete darkness was breached,
though i do sometimes fall into my dark ways,
im not stuck in it forever and always,

and the horrid perversion it was going to be,
