-ahem- So people often ask me why I don't like to look at pictures of myself. Well the ones from the recent years I hate because I see every sin, flaw, doubt, worry, pain, failure, and short-coming etched into corner, crease, line, shade and colour. In the older ones. Well that's hard to explain.
Do you remember the first time you were shown a picture of yourself as a child (like infant) and when your told that that's you, you try to find something in that child that hints that it's really you? That odd feeling of alienity until you either don't care anymore or find that hint? That's the feeling I get from all my older pics. It's quite an unsettling process to repeat constantly.
