Fade To Black


I see my life now, a dark stage.
A critical audience, staring from every angle.
I start to speak, no word come.
No sound, only the burning eyes.

I was raised to speak the truth, but
When the truth is uttered from my lips, I get shut down.
I was taught that mistakes were unacceptable
were punishable by chastisement and pain.

I see my life now, a dark stage, a closing curtain.
No applause, no sound, as my life
Fades to
Black......
