When a Battle, or obstacle has started, the GM (game master) will first set the grid. The GM will list of coordinates that will indicate the grid. Different coordinates can take place in different scenarios. For example, a place like a field, would be wide and open. It could be a R-18 grid. The R means the Y axis, signifying that the lowest point of the Y is 'A', and the Highest point is 'R'. The X-axis is 1-18, with '1' being farthest left, and 18 being farthest right... A thin grid could be made for something like a hallway. for example a D-23 grid would be a long hallway like area.
