The puckering of her lips.. it does something to me. Something I am unable to explain. It awakens the butterfly within my heart and I feel its wings caressing my insides ever so gently. It stops me dead within my tracks.
She moves her face from side to side as she tries on a hat just for fun, posing in the mirror.
"Do you like it?" she said as she smiled at me.
"Yes" I replied humbly, but there's so much I could have added but didn't. She made a mediocre hat look good purely by the extension of her beauty.
She hugged me and I wrapped my arms around her. I like the conform of her touch. It feels nice here and she always smells so good. I breathe in her scent and I don't want to let go. This is it, this is the pinnacle of what a life can be. There no drugs that could make me feel better, no money that could make me happier, no place I'd rather be, but here, having my arms wrapped around her. It feels like the missing puzzle of me snapped into place and I am now complete.
I awakened from my trance, my perfect high. I had to write it down before it faded so when I reread it I can relive the memory and experience it again.
"I have seen too many movies to know what real life is like." this has echoed through my head for far too long. Now that it's here for eyes to see, will it escape my mind?
