Well, this is my first journal entry. Hello everyone, I am Aurorus, and I am a bookworm, nerd, and anime freak xd

I'll be using this journal to record happenings in my life, along with any book or anime reviews I feel like putting in here. I will include my first book review in this entry:

I am currently reading The Complete Sherlock Holmes, I am on volume two. My favorite story so far has been The Sign of Four, in which a young woman comes to Sherlock Holmes, wondering about the mysterious disappearance of her father ten years previous, and confused as to why she has been recieving pearls every year. She has come to ask them to come with her to meet her mysterious benefactor, who says they have something important to reveal to her. The case quickly turns from an escort to a murder investigation, centering around a long forgotten treasure, and the untold secret of a long dead father.

What I've been enjoying most about this book is Sherlock's unique methods of solving crimes. Be it a murder mystery, or a lost hat, he persues each mystery with a passion, and with his keen observational skills, paired with a logical imagination, he solves each case that crosses his path. As he says himself in The Sign of Four; "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

I would highly recommend his stories, and as most of them are fairly short, they make great book report material wink
