I want you to see that the smile is no longer there
The laughter has faded
The happiness is gone
I want you to see that it’s not a part of me
Tears take up too much of my life
I swim in them daily
I nearly drown weekly
And all I can do is attempt to turn to you.
You do all you can to make the smile come back
The laughter return
The happiness shine
And what do you get from me in kind?
You’re wasting all of your time.
I’m not an easy gal to read
The pages of this book are cryptic
I’m giving you everything I can
But the tears make you close up even more
My mind is reeling a thousand different ways
It’s bound to spin off and fall away
It hurts to see that you can’t really see me
That you can’t truly see what I am
I miss you in more then one way
And yet you never truly pick up on that
I can only send you so many hints
But I know you’ll never notice
Time is nothing but our master
We’re held by leashes that pull us left and right
There are times we can barely keep up
I can’t control my path that well
And I fall behind you nearly all the time
I’m trying to keep up with you
I’m trying to do all you want
I’m trying to show you that I really do care
I’m trying to redeem my love…
