I never thought it would end this way,
I always thought nothing would change,

As kids we never got along.

But times have changed,

Making one moment seem like forever,

As time crawled on,
We grew closer.
Your friends said no,

But we kept going,
Never ending.
As your love grew out of the confines of our relation,
We thought of taking the next step.
Nobody supported the plan,
