beep! beep! beep!
I awoke to my alarm clock ringing in my ears.
"Ugh." i moaned.
I quickly glance at the clock which read 6:59am.
"Oh know! Im gonna be late!" i thought outloud as i jumped out of bed, and headed straight into the bathroom.
"Alyssa your gonna be late!" my mom yelled just as i was getting out of the shower.
"I know, ill be down in a minute." i shouted back
20 minutes later i was out the door, and speed walking to school.
Riiiing! I was just walking into my class as the bell rang. I let out a sigh of relief. Slumping into my chair, and got out my text book and started to look over some of the answers for the test that i wasnt prepared for today.
"Alright class, clear everything off your desk accept a pencil." my teacher Mr.Poen told us.
I close my book and hope for the best, as my teacher pased out the tests.
The test wasnt that bad. But i expected to get at least a C.
"Alright class im going to be putting you into groups of 2, and your going to work on your Review sheet." my teacher informed us. I was hopeing to be pared up with my best friend Tori.
"Alright lets see.." Mr.Poen said looking over us.
"Jake and Lauren, Mike and Rachel, Steve and Tori, Alyssa and Darren..." my teacher said pareing us up.
Just my luck, i got to be with the new emo kid. But i have to say that even though he looked depressed, i was always somehow attracted to the dark and deep people.
When the teacher was done pareing up all of the students, we went into our groups.
"Hi." i said quietly as i went over to Darrens desk.
He just nodded his head.
"Okay, so um what did you get for number 1?" i aksed him trying to start a conversation
He very quietly said "5.8" refering to the math probelm
"Me too." i replied
"How bout number 2?"
"49%." he depressingly said
"Me too.."
I just started at him for a second, then let out a small breath, looked at my notes, and said the answer to number 3.
"Umm for number 3, i got 13.45%. How about you?"
"Same."
I slowly set down my notes, stared out the window for a second, and asuming that i wasnt going to get much effort out of him, i stared to ask him non- school related questions.
"So, how do you like the school so far?" i randomly asked him
He looked up at me.
"Its fine." he replied in a depressing tone
"Oh." was all i could think of to say
We both just ended up sitting there not even making eye contact with each other, untill the end of class.
"You can go." my teacher told us.
Everybody got up and walked to there next class.
"Well, bye." i said as i grabbed my stuff and headed to Science.
"Bye." he replied
Science was boring. But i couldnt keep thinking about Darren. I mean i didnt like him, because i didnt know him enough. But i was wondering why he could be so depressed, and why his skin is so pale unlike his black hair.
After school, i thought i would take a longer way home then i normally would, so that i could think things out. As i was turning down an alley, seen this Red and Black peice of crumbled up paper that caught my eye.
I picked up the piece of paper, and read it too myself.

I reached my hand inside my pocket to see if i had any money. Luckly i had $30.00. I was trying to figure out a plan on how i could sneek out at 10:00pm on a school night. But i didnt care right now. All i cared about was going to see The Cirque Du Freak.
Little did i know that, that Freak Show was going to change my life forever...for the worse.
