(Edit: Date: February 22nd, 2010; I've decided to change the story, I won't go all the way through everything, but I'll keep the main part of the story alive. ^_^)
Prologue
We come to a young looking boy, maybe fifteen or sixteen years old; he is standing on the edge of a large building. The building seems to be a school of sorts, classrooms and dorm rooms, ah, a boarding school. Although this school isn’t a normal one, just looking at this boy can tell that, from his shoulder length spiky hair sprouted two large cat ears, covered in golden fur, and from his lower back sprouted a tail to match it. This young man would be called beautiful by many young women, though he didn’t think this of himself.
Slowly this young man leaned forward on the edge of the building, thinking about what had happened over the last couple of months. The girl he thought loved him and only been playing with his heart, he knew this but had still gone back to her over and over. He should have listened to his friend, she had told him to stop and think about what he was doing. Shaking his head he leaned a little more forward; going down into a crouch on the edge of the building. Next he thought about why the girl had done this to him, he didn’t do anything to her but show love and concern. Again he moved more slightly forward towards the edge of oblivion and the fall that would take his life, tips of his toes over the edge.
The boy’s nails were slightly long for a human male, but for his race they were perfect size, just a quarter inch past the end of his finger. Not only were they long they were sharp, just like those of the full feline relatives of his race. His long and sharp fingernails were painted a dark purple color, they were close to black. On his right hand, starting at the palm and going up the wrist, all the way up to his elbow was wrappings. The wrappings were to cover a large amount of self inflicted cuts and scraps, all done out of sorrow and anger at the woman he loved, or thought he loved.
He growled out in memory of the pain he caused himself to keep himself from striking out at others that did not desire his anger. He gingerly put a hand under the wrapping at the elbow then began to unwind it; soon the cuts were able to be seen. He sighed to himself then tugged the rest of the wrapping off, tossing the bloodied wrappings to the wind that had picked up around him. The wrappings flew down into the courtyard below, catching against a branch of a tree. He looked at it then went closer to the edge of the three story building, closing his eyes.
He cried one tear that was, like the wrappings of his arms, was ripped away and flew down into the courtyard. He watched it with envy then leaned forward once again, closer now, only on his heels. “Curse you…” He muttered to himself then leaned even farther forward and began to fall, his story flashed before his own eyes on the fall towards the ground. The anger, the sorrow, the hate, the small happiness all flashed back to him on his ride down towards oblivion. “My name is Raynor and this is because of you…” He whispered as he fell, closing his eyes, reliving every part up til what was happening.

Chapter One
The boy from before began to walk up a stone pathway up towards the same school. He was a happy young cove, a handsome young Neko, or a human with come cat features. A cat tail, ears, and their reflexes, not only the traits, they could shift into small kittens when they willed, as he walked his tail behind him swished back and forth. This was his second year coming to this school and he was happy with it. He couldn’t wait to find his ‘Mistress’, a slightly older girl who had taken a liking to the young neko the year before.
Raynor looked about the courtyard trying to find his Mistress, she had to wear a hoodie whenever she was out; vampires couldn’t stand direct sunlight for long. Yes, that is right, not only are there cat people but there are also vampires here, these two races lived next to humans at this school. ‘Where is she? She said to meet her out in the courtyard on the first day.’ He thought to himself as he walked along, looking under many of the trees that dotted the school’s courtyard.
He sighed and started to go towards the main office of the school then stopped dead, his Mistress had come out of the office. He ran forwards a couple of steps then leaped, transforming into a kitten mid-jump. Of course his Mistress caught him in her arms tenderly, cradling the small person changed kitten. He cuddled into the bosom of his Mistress then looked up at her and smiled, well as much as a cat could smile. “Hello Beth, my Mistress!” He called out to her in a small voice that came with the kitten’s body.
Beth looked down at him and laughed a bit at her little pet’s enthusiasm over seeing her again this year. She softly stroked the back of his neck with one finger then lightly kissed him on the nose. “Good to see you too my pet, enjoy your summer away?” She asked in a soft voice then sighed softly when Raynor shook his head and lightly cuddled into her… He replied in a soft voice that showed he had been sad without her. “I missed you…” His paws softly smacked at a string that floated down from the hood of her long-sleeved hoodie. Lightly he mewed at her as he rolled over in her arm and showed his belly to her, it was covered in thin layer of nearly white blonde hair.
Beth laughed a bit then kissed his nose again and set her pet on the ground to let him change back to his normal form. As he touched the ground his body shifted quickly and he was standing in front of her, his arms suddenly wrapped around her neck. “I missed you so much!” He called out as she giggled, he was only fifteen and the girl he held was nearly nineteen. She softly put her hands on his arms and lightly detangled herself from him. “Sorry hun, but you’ll have to wait until you are at least sixteen to be with me.” She said to him and he pouted for a moment before she put her arms around him. “Don’t worry though, that’s only a couple months away.”
Together they turned and went into the main office door, getting a dorm key of his own, Raynor smiled. Beth next to him smiled a bit then showed him her key, it was the room directly across from him. The dorms were co-ed but she didn’t want to share a room with him, it was awkward the year before. A fourteen year old with a seventeen year old girl, can you guess who it was more awkward for? If not just to let yet know it was Raynor, poor boy, had walked in when she was changing and had no shirt and was just pulling up a skirt, of course she had under garments on, but Raynor still passed out in the doorway. When they had first met Raynor was a shy young boy who didn’t know anyone at the school.
Now however he was very open and outgoing with his Mistress, still a shy boy to most of the other people he met. He lightly put his tail around Beth’s waist and smiled to himself for a moment… “Hmmm, you are so good to me.” He whispered then lightly leaned his head on her shoulder; he was about six foot tall so he was leaning down of course. His tail softly moved in his attempt to tickle her, it worked and she jumped giggling a bit. He loved the sound of her laugh, but wondered if she had found someone else that would make her smile more then him over the summer.
He thought about this for a moment before they turned the corner out of the office and he saw the girl that would destroy him. She smiled at him, and he nearly melted there, she was a human his age, about a foot and some shorter than him. She had tanned skin, and her hair was a mouse brown color, tied back in a pony tail, he saw on her smile, even from a about nine yards away, that she had braces. Just looking at her made the young Neko purr softly then looked up at his Mistress who shook her head… “Sorry…” He mumbled apologizing to her; he didn’t want his Mistress angry with him.
The girl just giggled as they got closer, he hadn’t seen her before, the year before that is… He was sure she was new here but maybe they just hadn’t had any classes together the year before. He blushed softly looking at her then continued to walk along; maybe she would be his friend later. If he talked to her without passing out like he had when he first met his Mistress then he should be fine, at least that is what he thought.
He softly snuggled up to his Mistress as they went to their dorms, she made him happy but he couldn’t help it, the other girl made him tingle with, happiness it seemed. He couldn’t be sure though, his life hadn’t had much happiness so he wasn’t sure if it was that or if was something else. Lightly he purred against his Mistress and he rubbed his head against her shoulder. “Sorry my Mistress, don’t be mad.” They came to the area where they’re rooms were across from one another and they split to go make sure their things had arrived in the right area.
Raynor stepped into his room and then looked around in the trunks that were there. He opened one and saw it wasn’t his and quickly closed it again, he wasn’t about to snoop inside someone else’s things. He opened the second trunk and then smiled a bit, right on top was his favorite jacket, a bright red furry coat with fuzzy white coming off at the end of the sleeves, hood, and the bottom. He looked around and saw the other person hadn’t even been there so he claimed a bed before starting to unpack his things into the dresser next to the bed he picked.
After finishing his put the trunk under his bed, making sure it wouldn’t be in the way during the rest of the school year. He got his coat and then put it on before going out of his room, playing with the edge of sleeve as he went to the hall again. He crossed the short distance and knocked on the door to Beth’s room. He peeked inside before she could answer and smiled a bit, seeing her just finishing unpacking. He looked about then sighed to himself, shaking his head… “Not fair! Older students don’t have to have roommates unless they choose to.” He whined at her then smiled a bit moving over and sitting next to her. He lightly leaned on her shoulder as he nibbled on the fuzz around the hood of his own coat.
His Mistress just smiled at him and laughed a bit, lightly touching his ears before scratching them. This brought a purr from the young Neko, who thought it was a little indignant but enjoyed it so much that it didn’t bother him when she did it. Beth just giggled a little and began to scratch the base of his ear, normally hidden by his hair, but she just followed his ear down to find it. Raynor purred loudly and then moved closer to her, closing his eyes… “Not fair, what do you want?” He mumbled, knowing she wanted to know something from him, that’s why she made him all mellow usually. She just giggled a bit then suddenly stopped scratching his ear. “Did you know who that was that made you go all gaga?” She asked sternly of him, she may not let him date her until his next birthday, but she was still protective of him.
Raynor leaned away from her then blinked trying to think if he indeed did know the girl… After a couple of minutes he shook his head then leaned against her dresser and closed his eyes. “No, I didn’t know her,” he paused for a moment before continuing, “But I swear she knows me.” He said, a bit concerned now, how would a girl, he didn’t know, know who he was? ‘Who is she? Why is she interested in me?’ He thought to himself as he sat there then noticed Beth was looking a bit bored. He gasped then thought of something to cheer her up, he didn’t like to make her bored. He felt it was his responsibility to make her laugh and giggle, along with things that went with it.
He reached forward and began to to lightly push back her hood. He smiled a bit looking at the pale, yet tanned face of his mistress. She may not have ever see the sun but her skin stayed a nice tanned skin, then skin of a half-black and half-white human mix. Carefully he lightly strooked her dark brown hair, it was soft to him, and his finger wrapped around a bit of her hair. "How do you keep your hair so soft?" He asked then lightly tocuhed her cheek before inching closer to her. She smiled a bit at the younger person then lightly put her hand on his, lightly pulling Raynor's from her head. "My secret my pet."
They soon became bored of just sitting in her room and they got up, leaving her room and splitting at the hallway. Raynor went to go try to find people to be friends with and Beth had gone to find some of her friends.

Raynor walked along for a few minutes and sighed softly to himself as he found no one that he could talk to, well without becoming shy. He continued to walk, now turning around a corner and blushed to himself as he saw the girl from before standing down the hall talking with some girls. As they noticed him coming closer they giggled a bit more until he could have heard what they were talking about. The girl from before just smiled at him and he melted right there, blushing and quickly turning into a small kitten.
One of the girls that had been giggling at him squealed and quickly picked up the kitten, holding him close to her body. The girl that he had seen earlier that day smiled at him then leaned over. "Want to go to the Welcome Back Dance with me?" Raynor would have blushed had he been a human but hid the embarrassment behind a kitten body. He couldn't think straight and just nodded from the small kitten form. The girls around him squealed and she just giggled a bit before speaking again. "Not one for words are you?" At this he struggled in the girl's arms and tried to get to the ground, the girl dropped him, when he hit the floor he scrambled to get enough room to transform without bumping anyone.
He got a couple feet away before spinning on the wood floor and turning into his normal form. He was a bit red in the face, but that could be pasted for the strain he had just gone through. "Well, sorry, I'm Raynor, who are you?" He asked the girl that had asked him to the dance, she and her friends giggled. After a moment of giggling she answered him. "I'm Hikuri." Raynor smiled for a moment looking at her, then softly blushed some more. His ear twitched then he stepped back, shaking his head... "I'll find you later, my friend is calling for me." He said then took off down the hall towards his room.
Around a corner he slowed down, but his heart was pounding in his chest. He couldn't help it, something about the human girl made his body freak out on him. He looked down at his cheast, legs, and arms and muttered. "You traitors." He started to walk again, when he heard footsteps of the girls coming he sprinted down the hall again. He soon ended his sprint in front of his door then changed into a small kitten, laying in front, and falling asleep, he planned to wait until his roommate arrived before going back inside.
A couple of minutes later the girl with the light brown hair he blinked to himself as she walked up to his door and pulled a key out. She looked at the kitten and smiled a bit, holding it open for him. He trotted inside head up as he showed a kitten that thought it was in charge. He ran over to his bed and used the blankets to climb up, careful not to pull them off. Hiruki smiled at him before starting to unpack her things. "Hey there Raynor." He laughed as a kitten, coming out a small squeak, shifting back on his bed. "You got me Hiruki." He said then yawned softly before stretching like a cat would, arms out and grasping the ground, well bed, he was on.
He laid his head down on his pillow and softly sighed to himself then shook his head... "Night, Hiruki." He muttered to her as he fell asleep, confused, he could talk to her when he was paying attention and is half-asleep... He sighed to himself as he fell asleep in just a few seconds, unlike him though, Hiruki stayed up a couple more hours before going to sleep. During the time she was awake she had unpacked completely and set things up for the next few weeks including; the shower area, her personal things in the bathroom, and some decoration in the bed room.

Raynor woke up in the morning and then shook his head a bit, hair going into its natural spiky style. He looked around the room surprised at what he saw on the walls and every flat surface. There were posters of human bands, movie stars, and movie advertisments on the walls, all flashy colors and the like. On the dressers and table next to her bed there were candles and pictures of the people on the posters, all signed by the person. He sighed as he crawled out of his bed and to his dresser, grabbing a pair of jeans and boxers along with a dark blue blue shirt before stumbling into the bathroom. He turned the light on as he closed the door beginning to get ready to take a shower.
One thing happened during his shower, his roommate had opened the door without knocking and he heard her gasp. He peaked his head out through the black-out curtains and sighed softly. "Sorry!" She said, her turn to be red faced, he was sure she had just woke up. Shaking his head a bit he turned the water off. "Don't worry, just close the door and I'll be out in a minute." He said to her, she nodded once and stepped out of the bathroom. 'Wow? She was embarrassed?' He was surprised by this but didn't let it show until he heard the door click.
He stepped out quickly and shook himself dry before starting to get dressed. He pulled on the clean pair of boxers before the jeans next, as soon as they were on and buttoned he grabbed his shirt opening the door. Hiruki was sitting on her bed with her clothes for the day bundled in her arms. "Um, it's all yours now." He said as he pulled the shirt on over his head, it was blank of course, but that didn't bother him at all. As soon as he moved out of the way the girl stole her way into the bathroom closing the door behind her. Raynor watched her run into the bathroom and chuckled softly to himself, she wouldn't speak of it to anyone. He thought she was a cute, very confident girl, but she was able to be embarrassed like everyone else in the world. Calmly he did a quick jump and landed on his bed, laying down and beginning to think about what just happened. 'Oh well, moving on with my day.' He thought to himself and then rolled off of his bed, sliding his feet into his shoes.
Raynor stood up and started towards the door as Hiruki came out of the bathroom... Most girls took half an hour in the shower, she took all of five minutes, of course he was surprised by this of course but didn't let it show. He smiled at her then continued to the door. "Um, no worries about the shower thing... you must have been still asleep." As his hand was on the doorknob she spoke a soft reply, it seemed the opposite of girl from the day before, but it was the same girl. "Um, I'm really sorry about that... don't tell anyone, please?" This caused him to pause then look back at her and smiled slightly, only one or two teeth visible, along then nodded. "Alright, I'll keep it quiet roomie." She just smiled nervously then waved to him.
Raynor soon had left his dorm and Hiruki, crossing the hall to Beth's room and knocked twice. He paused hearing her voice and then realized she must have been on a phone with someone because there was no other voice. He waited a couple minutes until she was done arguing with whoever it was before knocking again. "Mistress Beth? You there?" He called softly through the door so not to wake anyone else up, it was only about six in the morning afterall. After just about a second the door opened and Beth was standing there, she sighed once. "Hello there my pet." She said trying to seem cheerful, but Raynor could tell she wasn't happy. Quickly he hugged her then slipped inside of her room and looked around in a slight amazement at what she had done over night. The walls were darkened, the windows covered by a heavy blanket or something, and the bed sheets had been changed color. "Wow, this is amazing, why didn't you do it to our room last year?" He asked looking at her tiliting his head to the side.
Beth couldn't help but smile at Raynor before lightly patting him on the head. "Because if I had done so you likely wouldn't have liked to live in the dark for nearly nine months." She explained to him causing him to think about it and he nodded agreement. Stepping over to one of the dressers he leaned on it carefully before looking at her. "Oh right... you know that girl from yesterday? She is my roommate if I didn't tell you already." Beth looked at him a little bit concerned for him but shrugged a bit before lightly resting her hand on his shoulder. "Alright, be careful my pet, women are crazy you know." She said laughing a bit before letting him go and stepping back, he hadn't noticed before but she was wearing pj bottoms and a tank top. He blushed softly looking at her then stepped away from her dresser to let her get dressed if she wanted to.
Beth just smiled at him and moved over to her dresser and pulled out a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Quickly Raynor turned around in habit from the year before knowing she was getting ready to change into her normal clothing. After just a minute he turned around seeing she was already done changing. Raynor took his Santa looking coat and tossed it to her to wear for the day. "What do you have in mind for tonight Mistress?" Slowly she put his coat on and looked at him shaking her head a bit. "Not sure, and you know giving your favorite jacket to someone is something like saying two people are dating right?"
Raynor sighed and then shook his head a bit before sitting on the ground. "I know, you told me that before." He said to her then looked up from where he was and jokingly meowed at her. She just laughed softly and rubbed his head between his ears before starting towards the door. "Come along." Of course Raynor got up and began to walk with her, acting like a little puppy though he was a kitten... in a way.

The rest of the day was uneventful, classes, hanging out with Beth and he didn't see Hiruki until he got back to his dorm room. As he walked in he noticed something was a miss, something didn't seem quite right around the room. Slowly he walked in and looked around, checking under his bed for a moment before jumping back. She was just laying under there and smiled when he fell on his a**, he didn't think it was very funny. Quickly she scrambled out from under the bed and moved over to hers. "Couldn't resist."
Raynor just shook his head and looked over at Hiruki before shaking his head a little bit. She seemed to enjoy making him jump, which wasn't hard, he was cat-like after all. Slowly he moved over to the window and looked out of it, looking into the courtyard he saw a face he thought he'd never see. His good friend Kiro was down in the courtyard just sitting there, he was just a human but he was... different. Kiro was a bit shorter then Raynor by maybe three inches but he wasn't short by normal standards. He had short black hair, just long enough to grab on to, which Raynor did when he was annoyed with Kiro. Kiro had on a black button up shirt with the top two buttons undone and a pair of good jeans it looked like from the window. He wasn't all too muscular but if one looked hard enough it was visible he had a hidden strength in his body.
Raynor smiled down at his friend who hadn't noticed him yet and quickly waved his arm out the window. "KIRO! What are you doing here?! I thought you moved!" He called down to him, causing Kiro to jump to his feet startled. When Kiro saw where it was coming from he just laughed and shook his head a little bit. "Well, not yet, but by the end of the semester I'm out of this place!" He called back up to him before just giving his customary one fingered salute. "I'm gonna go to bed now, let's talk more in the morning!" He called up before going towards the dorm building across from Raynor's.
When Raynor pulled his head in the window he looked at Hiruki who seemed a bit shocked at something. He tilted his head to the side and looked at her, wondering if it was something he said. "Sorry? Didn't mean to startle you." He apologized but she just shook her head and looked at him before softly replying. "You know him?" Raynor nodded a bit, confused by her question, of course he knew him, they had been friends for a little while.
Hiruki was blushing and Raynor was confused about it but didn't want to really question her. A second before he laughed a little bit before realizing she had a crush on Kiro, made him a little sad that she liked him but didn't expect her to do so. "Well, yeah I know him, do you?" He asked and she just nodded a couple of times before she just like hid under her blanket. "Yes, he's so cute." She said from under her blanket before Raynor sat down next to her on the bed and turned into a kitten. Softly he made his way under her blanket and rested up against her stomach. "Don't worry... he's a good guy... mostly."
Hiruki just chuckled a little bit and looked at her little kitten friend, she saw him as a friend right now. Raynor sighed to himself, he could tell she like his friend and right now he didn't have a chance in hell. Lightly he began to purr and closed his eyes, Hiruki, he could tell, had already fallen asleep, she was fast at it surprisingly. Not long afterwards he joined her in sleep, staying in the kitten form over night not sure if she would be angry.
The morning came and Raynor was awoken by the loss of body heat behind him when Hiruki got up to go to the bathroom. Raynor stood up and stretched, still in the form of a small kitten, it was easier that way in the mornings. As he cracked his neck and upper back he noticed that the bathroom door was still open but the water was running. 'Um, not good, so tempting but I won't do it...' He thought to himself as he leaped from the bed and shifted mid-jump to his normal form. Silently he moved over and closed the door very gently so not to startle her into thinking he had been watching her.
Quietly and quickly he moved from the bathroom door over to his bed and then laid back down. As he did so he shifted around a little bit, ending in a long ways, legs downwards and crossed down at the ankles, and hands under his head, one coming from its respective direction. In his mind Raynor was thinking what the hell did he just do the night before? Laid next to her as a kitten? He'd never done something like that before, he doubted he'd do it again, first off it was dangerous, if she rolled over he'd have been squished.
Standing up straight he stretched upwards towards the roof and yawned widely, a bit wider then a normal human. After that he moved over to his bed and sat down on it. As he did this he heard the water turn off and his ears twitched a little bit, sensing the movement in the bathroom. 'Head over heels for a human girl... wow...' He thought to himself, using his ears to imagine where she was standing at the time. That part was easy for him, having such sensitive ears of course. When Raynor thought she was near the door he stopped his mental imagination and cracked his neck.
A couple of seconds later Hiruki stepped out dressed in what could have been PJs, a large shirt and a pair of very loose Snoopy pajama pants, of course Raynor didn't say anything. To him it was strange to have classes on a Friday, as the start of the year but no classes the next day. Standing back up Raynor yawned lightly looking at her. "Morning Hiruki!" He said to her but she just looked passed him for a second, as if completely asleep still. "Um, hello?" Raynor asked as he moved up next to her waving his hand in front of her eyes to get her attention. This seemed to have surprised her for she stumbled back a second before catching herself. "Sorry..." She said to him not really paying attention, she had been distracted by something.
Tilting his head to the side Raynor moved over to her then lightly wrapped his arms around her with a small purr. She seemed sad to him so he was going to try to make her feel better, and thought a hug would help. After he finished he smiled at her when she seemed a little better before stepping away. "Well, I'm going to take a shower, then we can talk if you want, okay?" Raynor said moving over to the bathroom but she shook her head, as if saying she didn't want to talk after his shower. With a soft sigh he moved the rest of the way then closed the door behind him.

He cuddled into the bosom of his Mistress then looked up at her and smiled, well as much as a cat could smile. “Hello Beth, my Mistress!” He called out to her in a small voice that came with the kitten’s body.
Beth looked down at him and laughed a bit at her little pet’s enthusiasm over seeing her again this year. She softly stroked the back of his neck with one finger then lightly kissed him on the nose. “Good to see you too my pet, enjoy your summer away?” She asked in a soft voice then sighed softly when Raynor shook his head and lightly cuddled into her… He replied in a soft voice that showed he had been sad without her. “I missed you…” His paws softly smacked at a string that floated down from the hood of her long-sleeved hoodie. Lightly he mewed at her as he rolled over in her arm and showed his belly to her, it was covered in thin layer of nearly white blonde hair.
Beth laughed a bit then kissed his nose again and set her pet on the ground to let him change back to his normal form. As he touched the ground his body shifted quickly and he was standing in front of her, his arms suddenly wrapped around her neck. “I missed you so much!” He called out as she giggled, he was only fifteen and the girl he held was nearly nineteen. She softly put her hands on his arms and lightly detangled herself from him. “Sorry hun, but you’ll have to wait until you are at least sixteen to be with me.” She said to him and he pouted for a moment before she put her arms around him. “Don’t worry though, that’s only a couple months away.”
Together they turned and went into the main office door, getting a dorm key of his own, Raynor smiled. Beth next to him smiled a bit then showed him her key, it was the room directly across from him. The dorms were co-ed but she didn’t want to share a room with him, it was awkward the year before. A fourteen year old with a seventeen year old girl, can you guess who it was more awkward for? If not just to let yet know it was Raynor, poor boy, had walked in when she was changing and had no shirt and was just pulling up a skirt, of course she had under garments on, but Raynor still passed out in the doorway. When they had first met Raynor was a shy young boy who didn’t know anyone at the school.
Now however he was very open and outgoing with his Mistress, still a shy boy to most of the other people he met. He lightly put his tail around Beth’s waist and smiled to himself for a moment… “Hmmm, you are so good to me.” He whispered then lightly leaned his head on her shoulder; he was about six foot tall so he was leaning down of course. His tail softly moved in his attempt to tickle her, it worked and she jumped giggling a bit. He loved the sound of her laugh, but wondered if she had found someone else that would make her smile more then him over the summer.
He thought about this for a moment before they turned the corner out of the office and he saw the girl that would destroy him. She smiled at him, and he nearly melted there, she was a human his age, about a foot and some shorter than him. She had tanned skin, and her hair was a mouse brown color, tied back in a pony tail, he saw on her smile, even from a about nine yards away, that she had braces. Just looking at her made the young Neko purr softly then looked up at his Mistress who shook her head… “Sorry…” He mumbled apologizing to her; he didn’t want his Mistress angry with him.
The girl just giggled as they got closer, he hadn’t seen her before, the year before that is… He was sure she was new here but maybe they just hadn’t had any classes together the year before. He blushed softly looking at her then continued to walk along; maybe she would be his friend later. If he talked to her without passing out like he had when he first met his Mistress then he should be fine, at least that is what he thought.
He softly snuggled up to his Mistress as they went to their dorms, she made him happy but he couldn’t help it, the other girl made him tingle with, happiness it seemed. He couldn’t be sure though, his life hadn’t had much happiness so he wasn’t sure if it was that or if was something else. Lightly he purred against his Mistress and he rubbed his head against her shoulder. “Sorry my Mistress, don’t be mad.” They came to the area where they’re rooms were across from one another and they split to go make sure their things had arrived in the right area.
Raynor stepped into his room and then looked around in the trunks that were there. He opened one and saw it wasn’t his and quickly closed it again, he wasn’t about to snoop inside someone else’s things. He opened the second trunk and then smiled a bit, right on top was his favorite jacket, a bright red furry coat with fuzzy white coming off at the end of the sleeves, hood, and the bottom. He looked around and saw the other person hadn’t even been there so he claimed a bed before starting to unpack his things into the dresser next to the bed he picked.
After finishing his put the trunk under his bed, making sure it wouldn’t be in the way during the rest of the school year. He got his coat and then put it on before going out of his room, playing with the edge of sleeve as he went to the hall again. He crossed the short distance and knocked on the door to Beth’s room. He peeked inside before she could answer and smiled a bit, seeing her just finishing unpacking. He looked about then sighed to himself, shaking his head… “Not fair! Older students don’t have to have roommates unless they choose to.” He whined at her then smiled a bit moving over and sitting next to her. He lightly leaned on her shoulder as he nibbled on the fuzz around the hood of his own coat.
His Mistress just smiled at him and laughed a bit, lightly touching his ears before scratching them. This brought a purr from the young Neko, who thought it was a little indignant but enjoyed it so much that it didn’t bother him when she did it. Beth just giggled a little and began to scratch the base of his ear, normally hidden by his hair, but she just followed his ear down to find it. Raynor purred loudly and then moved closer to her, closing his eyes… “Not fair, what do you want?” He mumbled, knowing she wanted to know something from him, that’s why she made him all mellow usually. She just giggled a bit then suddenly stopped scratching his ear. “Did you know who that was that made you go all gaga?” She asked sternly of him, she may not let him date her until his next birthday, but she was still protective of him.
Raynor leaned away from her then blinked trying to think if he indeed did know the girl… After a couple of minutes he shook his head then leaned against her dresser and closed his eyes. “No, I didn’t know her,” he paused for a moment before continuing, “But I swear she knows me.” He said, a bit concerned now, how would a girl, he didn’t know, know who he was? ‘Who is she? Why is she interested in me?’ He thought to himself as he sat there then noticed Beth was looking a bit bored. He gasped then thought of something to cheer her up, he didn’t like to make her bored. He felt it was his responsibility to make her laugh and giggle, along with things that went with it.
He reached forward and began to to lightly push back her hood. He smiled a bit looking at the pale, yet tanned face of his mistress. She may not have ever see the sun but her skin stayed a nice tanned skin, then skin of a half-black and half-white human mix. Carefully he lightly strooked her dark brown hair, it was soft to him, and his finger wrapped around a bit of her hair. "How do you keep your hair so soft?" He asked then lightly tocuhed her cheek before inching closer to her. She smiled a bit at the younger person then lightly put her hand on his, lightly pulling Raynor's from her head. "My secret my pet."
They soon became bored of just sitting in her room and they got up, leaving her room and splitting at the hallway. Raynor went to go try to find people to be friends with and Beth had gone to find some of her friends.

Raynor walked along for a few minutes and sighed softly to himself as he found no one that he could talk to, well without becoming shy. He continued to walk, now turning around a corner and blushed to himself as he saw the girl from before standing down the hall talking with some girls. As they noticed him coming closer they giggled a bit more until he could have heard what they were talking about. The girl from before just smiled at him and he melted right there, blushing and quickly turning into a small kitten.
One of the girls that had been giggling at him squealed and quickly picked up the kitten, holding him close to her body. The girl that he had seen earlier that day smiled at him then leaned over. "Want to go to the Welcome Back Dance with me?" Raynor would have blushed had he been a human but hid the embarrassment behind a kitten body. He couldn't think straight and just nodded from the small kitten form. The girls around him squealed and she just giggled a bit before speaking again. "Not one for words are you?" At this he struggled in the girl's arms and tried to get to the ground, the girl dropped him, when he hit the floor he scrambled to get enough room to transform without bumping anyone.
He got a couple feet away before spinning on the wood floor and turning into his normal form. He was a bit red in the face, but that could be pasted for the strain he had just gone through. "Well, sorry, I'm Raynor, who are you?" He asked the girl that had asked him to the dance, she and her friends giggled. After a moment of giggling she answered him. "I'm Hikuri." Raynor smiled for a moment looking at her, then softly blushed some more. His ear twitched then he stepped back, shaking his head... "I'll find you later, my friend is calling for me." He said then took off down the hall towards his room.
Around a corner he slowed down, but his heart was pounding in his chest. He couldn't help it, something about the human girl made his body freak out on him. He looked down at his cheast, legs, and arms and muttered. "You traitors." He started to walk again, when he heard footsteps of the girls coming he sprinted down the hall again. He soon ended his sprint in front of his door then changed into a small kitten, laying in front, and falling asleep, he planned to wait until his roommate arrived before going back inside.
A couple of minutes later the girl with the light brown hair he blinked to himself as she walked up to his door and pulled a key out. She looked at the kitten and smiled a bit, holding it open for him. He trotted inside head up as he showed a kitten that thought it was in charge. He ran over to his bed and used the blankets to climb up, careful not to pull them off. Hiruki smiled at him before starting to unpack her things. "Hey there Raynor." He laughed as a kitten, coming out a small squeak, shifting back on his bed. "You got me Hiruki." He said then yawned softly before stretching like a cat would, arms out and grasping the ground, well bed, he was on.
He laid his head down on his pillow and softly sighed to himself then shook his head... "Night, Hiruki." He muttered to her as he fell asleep, confused, he could talk to her when he was paying attention and is half-asleep... He sighed to himself as he fell asleep in just a few seconds, unlike him though, Hiruki stayed up a couple more hours before going to sleep. During the time she was awake she had unpacked completely and set things up for the next few weeks including; the shower area, her personal things in the bathroom, and some decoration in the bed room.

Raynor woke up in the morning and then shook his head a bit, hair going into its natural spiky style. He looked around the room surprised at what he saw on the walls and every flat surface. There were posters of human bands, movie stars, and movie advertisments on the walls, all flashy colors and the like. On the dressers and table next to her bed there were candles and pictures of the people on the posters, all signed by the person. He sighed as he crawled out of his bed and to his dresser, grabbing a pair of jeans and boxers along with a dark blue blue shirt before stumbling into the bathroom. He turned the light on as he closed the door beginning to get ready to take a shower.
One thing happened during his shower, his roommate had opened the door without knocking and he heard her gasp. He peaked his head out through the black-out curtains and sighed softly. "Sorry!" She said, her turn to be red faced, he was sure she had just woke up. Shaking his head a bit he turned the water off. "Don't worry, just close the door and I'll be out in a minute." He said to her, she nodded once and stepped out of the bathroom. 'Wow? She was embarrassed?' He was surprised by this but didn't let it show until he heard the door click.
He stepped out quickly and shook himself dry before starting to get dressed. He pulled on the clean pair of boxers before the jeans next, as soon as they were on and buttoned he grabbed his shirt opening the door. Hiruki was sitting on her bed with her clothes for the day bundled in her arms. "Um, it's all yours now." He said as he pulled the shirt on over his head, it was blank of course, but that didn't bother him at all. As soon as he moved out of the way the girl stole her way into the bathroom closing the door behind her. Raynor watched her run into the bathroom and chuckled softly to himself, she wouldn't speak of it to anyone. He thought she was a cute, very confident girl, but she was able to be embarrassed like everyone else in the world. Calmly he did a quick jump and landed on his bed, laying down and beginning to think about what just happened. 'Oh well, moving on with my day.' He thought to himself and then rolled off of his bed, sliding his feet into his shoes.
Raynor stood up and started towards the door as Hiruki came out of the bathroom... Most girls took half an hour in the shower, she took all of five minutes, of course he was surprised by this of course but didn't let it show. He smiled at her then continued to the door. "Um, no worries about the shower thing... you must have been still asleep." As his hand was on the doorknob she spoke a soft reply, it seemed the opposite of girl from the day before, but it was the same girl. "Um, I'm really sorry about that... don't tell anyone, please?" This caused him to pause then look back at her and smiled slightly, only one or two teeth visible, along then nodded. "Alright, I'll keep it quiet roomie." She just smiled nervously then waved to him.
Raynor soon had left his dorm and Hiruki, crossing the hall to Beth's room and knocked twice. He paused hearing her voice and then realized she must have been on a phone with someone because there was no other voice. He waited a couple minutes until she was done arguing with whoever it was before knocking again. "Mistress Beth? You there?" He called softly through the door so not to wake anyone else up, it was only about six in the morning afterall. After just about a second the door opened and Beth was standing there, she sighed once. "Hello there my pet." She said trying to seem cheerful, but Raynor could tell she wasn't happy. Quickly he hugged her then slipped inside of her room and looked around in a slight amazement at what she had done over night. The walls were darkened, the windows covered by a heavy blanket or something, and the bed sheets had been changed color. "Wow, this is amazing, why didn't you do it to our room last year?" He asked looking at her tiliting his head to the side.
Beth couldn't help but smile at Raynor before lightly patting him on the head. "Because if I had done so you likely wouldn't have liked to live in the dark for nearly nine months." She explained to him causing him to think about it and he nodded agreement. Stepping over to one of the dressers he leaned on it carefully before looking at her. "Oh right... you know that girl from yesterday? She is my roommate if I didn't tell you already." Beth looked at him a little bit concerned for him but shrugged a bit before lightly resting her hand on his shoulder. "Alright, be careful my pet, women are crazy you know." She said laughing a bit before letting him go and stepping back, he hadn't noticed before but she was wearing pj bottoms and a tank top. He blushed softly looking at her then stepped away from her dresser to let her get dressed if she wanted to.
Beth just smiled at him and moved over to her dresser and pulled out a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Quickly Raynor turned around in habit from the year before knowing she was getting ready to change into her normal clothing. After just a minute he turned around seeing she was already done changing. Raynor took his Santa looking coat and tossed it to her to wear for the day. "What do you have in mind for tonight Mistress?" Slowly she put his coat on and looked at him shaking her head a bit. "Not sure, and you know giving your favorite jacket to someone is something like saying two people are dating right?"
Raynor sighed and then shook his head a bit before sitting on the ground. "I know, you told me that before." He said to her then looked up from where he was and jokingly meowed at her. She just laughed softly and rubbed his head between his ears before starting towards the door. "Come along." Of course Raynor got up and began to walk with her, acting like a little puppy though he was a kitten... in a way.

The rest of the day was uneventful, classes, hanging out with Beth and he didn't see Hiruki until he got back to his dorm room. As he walked in he noticed something was a miss, something didn't seem quite right around the room. Slowly he walked in and looked around, checking under his bed for a moment before jumping back. She was just laying under there and smiled when he fell on his a**, he didn't think it was very funny. Quickly she scrambled out from under the bed and moved over to hers. "Couldn't resist."
Raynor just shook his head and looked over at Hiruki before shaking his head a little bit. She seemed to enjoy making him jump, which wasn't hard, he was cat-like after all. Slowly he moved over to the window and looked out of it, looking into the courtyard he saw a face he thought he'd never see. His good friend Kiro was down in the courtyard just sitting there, he was just a human but he was... different. Kiro was a bit shorter then Raynor by maybe three inches but he wasn't short by normal standards. He had short black hair, just long enough to grab on to, which Raynor did when he was annoyed with Kiro. Kiro had on a black button up shirt with the top two buttons undone and a pair of good jeans it looked like from the window. He wasn't all too muscular but if one looked hard enough it was visible he had a hidden strength in his body.
Raynor smiled down at his friend who hadn't noticed him yet and quickly waved his arm out the window. "KIRO! What are you doing here?! I thought you moved!" He called down to him, causing Kiro to jump to his feet startled. When Kiro saw where it was coming from he just laughed and shook his head a little bit. "Well, not yet, but by the end of the semester I'm out of this place!" He called back up to him before just giving his customary one fingered salute. "I'm gonna go to bed now, let's talk more in the morning!" He called up before going towards the dorm building across from Raynor's.
When Raynor pulled his head in the window he looked at Hiruki who seemed a bit shocked at something. He tilted his head to the side and looked at her, wondering if it was something he said. "Sorry? Didn't mean to startle you." He apologized but she just shook her head and looked at him before softly replying. "You know him?" Raynor nodded a bit, confused by her question, of course he knew him, they had been friends for a little while.
Hiruki was blushing and Raynor was confused about it but didn't want to really question her. A second before he laughed a little bit before realizing she had a crush on Kiro, made him a little sad that she liked him but didn't expect her to do so. "Well, yeah I know him, do you?" He asked and she just nodded a couple of times before she just like hid under her blanket. "Yes, he's so cute." She said from under her blanket before Raynor sat down next to her on the bed and turned into a kitten. Softly he made his way under her blanket and rested up against her stomach. "Don't worry... he's a good guy... mostly."
Hiruki just chuckled a little bit and looked at her little kitten friend, she saw him as a friend right now. Raynor sighed to himself, he could tell she like his friend and right now he didn't have a chance in hell. Lightly he began to purr and closed his eyes, Hiruki, he could tell, had already fallen asleep, she was fast at it surprisingly. Not long afterwards he joined her in sleep, staying in the kitten form over night not sure if she would be angry.
The morning came and Raynor was awoken by the loss of body heat behind him when Hiruki got up to go to the bathroom. Raynor stood up and stretched, still in the form of a small kitten, it was easier that way in the mornings. As he cracked his neck and upper back he noticed that the bathroom door was still open but the water was running. 'Um, not good, so tempting but I won't do it...' He thought to himself as he leaped from the bed and shifted mid-jump to his normal form. Silently he moved over and closed the door very gently so not to startle her into thinking he had been watching her.
Quietly and quickly he moved from the bathroom door over to his bed and then laid back down. As he did so he shifted around a little bit, ending in a long ways, legs downwards and crossed down at the ankles, and hands under his head, one coming from its respective direction. In his mind Raynor was thinking what the hell did he just do the night before? Laid next to her as a kitten? He'd never done something like that before, he doubted he'd do it again, first off it was dangerous, if she rolled over he'd have been squished.
Standing up straight he stretched upwards towards the roof and yawned widely, a bit wider then a normal human. After that he moved over to his bed and sat down on it. As he did this he heard the water turn off and his ears twitched a little bit, sensing the movement in the bathroom. 'Head over heels for a human girl... wow...' He thought to himself, using his ears to imagine where she was standing at the time. That part was easy for him, having such sensitive ears of course. When Raynor thought she was near the door he stopped his mental imagination and cracked his neck.
A couple of seconds later Hiruki stepped out dressed in what could have been PJs, a large shirt and a pair of very loose Snoopy pajama pants, of course Raynor didn't say anything. To him it was strange to have classes on a Friday, as the start of the year but no classes the next day. Standing back up Raynor yawned lightly looking at her. "Morning Hiruki!" He said to her but she just looked passed him for a second, as if completely asleep still. "Um, hello?" Raynor asked as he moved up next to her waving his hand in front of her eyes to get her attention. This seemed to have surprised her for she stumbled back a second before catching herself. "Sorry..." She said to him not really paying attention, she had been distracted by something.
Tilting his head to the side Raynor moved over to her then lightly wrapped his arms around her with a small purr. She seemed sad to him so he was going to try to make her feel better, and thought a hug would help. After he finished he smiled at her when she seemed a little better before stepping away. "Well, I'm going to take a shower, then we can talk if you want, okay?" Raynor said moving over to the bathroom but she shook her head, as if saying she didn't want to talk after his shower. With a soft sigh he moved the rest of the way then closed the door behind him.
