Lead me and I'll follow. I'll take your hand because I'm too much of a coward to go on the unbeaten path. I do not have any confidence that my choices are the right ones to make. Doubt and fear of regret is what fills my mind. I am not a man, but just a boy. A man leads the way and I hide behind others like a beaten dog.
Confidence? I don't believe that I am any good. I believe that nothing I do is any good as well. What am I doing? Show me the way. I'm so lost in this world that doesn't make any sense to me. Everything contradicts itself. Be nice to everyone, yet talk behind their back. Accept people for who they are, unless they are fat and ugly. It's what on the inside that matters, but that into account only what's on the outside.
Positive role model is what I seek. A teacher to set me on my path of self-sufficiency. Or am I wrong in thinking this and no one is really self-sufficient and we have to rely on others? Can someone be happy by themself?
Perhaps in time I will be the one leading you.
