With a laugh the joker leaves
leaving behind the little fleas
known as the greatest of his race
began your highness, and left your grace.

But the joker is the wisest of the rest
knowing that life is an endless test
an uncertain game, of laughs and masks
hiding a frame of endless tasks.

And so he grins
the show begins
with dancing, laughter, music, joy
unaware that it's just a shadow's toy.
