Miki took Joseph to their fireplace and told her grandma what happened. Miki sat next to him. He tried his best not to let his nerves go wild for blood. He's been working on it, but he wasn't sure if he could handle it for a long time. "Thank you..."
"Miki"
"Ah...Miki. Anyways, Thank you so very much, but I should be on my way."
"It's raining, and you don't have a coat. You'll have to stay here."
"Oh...wonderful. This is simply delightful. Your house is amazingly beautiful."
"Oh Thanks! It's not my house though. I'm living here with my grandma."
"What about your parents?"
"They died."
"How?"
"...it was nothing."
"Please do tell me."
"Murder."
"Oh my. How awful. Did you ever find out who killed them?"
"Yes. In fact, he killed them in front of my eyes, and spared me."
"Who was it?"
"You won't believe me."
"Trust me, I'll believe anything."
"A vampire." Joseph froze.
"Really?"
"Really. Do you believe me?"
"Shockingly, yes. I do believe you."
"Really?!"
"Really." Miki smiled, and laid her head on his shoulder. "Thank you." Joseph froze even more. "This disgusting human...is pretty amazing. I never knew that any of them were like this." They slept together that night.
