Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your prompt reply to our insurance inquiry.
Naturally I have no way of confirming Dad’s contributions to the Canada Pension Plan. If insufficient payments were made then I cannot dispute your decision.
Perhaps you could clarify one matter for me. Dad turned 65 on February 26, 1966 and retired from Bell Canada three months later as required or so we believe. Your records indicate he made contributions through 1966 and 1967. That would indicate that he made 19 months of contributions after he retired. Is that correct? If so, should those excess contributions not be returned?
