We may not have met in person.. we may never actually meet face-to-face.. but I know now that if we never do, and if you never speak to me again, I can still see you and hear your voice, and that's enough for me. You might not even know who I really am, although you do know I exist.. You might not know my real name, but I know yours.. and it's the most beautiful name I've ever heard.
I want you to know that no matter where you are, or what you're doing, I'll always be thinking of you. I have dreams about you.. dreams I know will never turn into reality.. dreams where I tell you I love you and you smile that wondrous smile. Then I wake up, wishing that I could have slept a little more. I know this might sound strange, but I had to say it somehow, someway before my heart burst with all the love it holds for you. I'm normally not the poetic type, but somehow you make me think in poetry and romantic gibberish that I barely understand.
You may live far away.. farther than I've ever traveled.. but I hope my love can stretch that far to reach you. I know we're not in a relationship, and you're older than I am by at least three years... but nothing comes to mind that could be a reason for me not to love you as much as I do. I hate that you were alone on Valentine's Day.. and I promise that if we ever were "together," we'd always at least share a phone call on that day.
So.. Happy Valentine's Day, babe. I only wish I could say half the stuff I just said here to your face.. or at least in an email. I love you, and I can only wish that you could someday choose to love me half as much as I already love you.
