Insomnia is such a weird phenomena.
There can be so many causes; yet little to make it go away.
People actually envy those who can sleep a full night! I enjoy sleeping usually, but lately I haven't been as tired as usual, so I've been staying up late and getting up relatively earlier.
Sometimes I get maybe three hours of continuous sleep.
There are a few changes that could have something to do with this curve in my routine:
1.It's my vacation, and I haven't exactly been leaving my house all that much. I have all this energy that I haven't used during the day, and I don't need to sleep to 'recharge'.
2.Now that the winter solstice has has gone by, the sun is coming up earlier and earlier. I really can't sleep when there's sun in my eyes. I guess I should buy some heavy curtians.
3.I have a busy, unorganized thought processing system (my brain).
4.Stress. Too much of everything all together at once. Hate it!
5.Hey, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (love him!) is on anyway, might as well watch it. Right?
I love sleep as much as the next person, it's great, and I love dreaming. But it's so hard to just relax and take a nice nap.
Perhaps yoga will help. Eh.
Drinking tea before going to sleep seems to work well for my mother. Might do the trick.
Maybe just talking to someone, on the phone most likely, will let me release some of the energy and stress I have built up. YA.
Sooner or later, I know the lack of rest will get to me, and it will not be pretty.
Hopefully I can just go to bed before that happens.
