I wrote a poem a while back, and I needed to use it for a song for one of my classes... So I edited it alittle, and here is the edited version... I will get a recording of me and my friends playing/singing it later. [No video]
I can't think, I can't breath...
What have you done to me?
My heart is in shares,
But I continue to love you.
What happened to "Forever and always!"?
More like "We both go our own ways."
I trusted you, I loved you,
But I was only your one night stand!
You said you'd love me,
And you said you'd protect me!
So why am I here,
On the wrong side of the glass,
Looking at a life I no longer have?
A life built for two!
Now the roads are torn down,
The buildings aflame!
Yet I'm still by your side!
My heart in a frame,
Placed neatly above your mantle.
Is that where I belong?
Above a firey hell?
Perhaps I was too high,
And belonged in the flame?
