We had to do a little project in Psychology the past week on archetypes of heroes and villains; we showed our projects to our class today.

Here's a brief summary of Speedo Man:

Speedo Man is the hero of the oceans. But there is a reason he became the hero of the oceans.
Before he became Speedo Man, the hero's real name was Clyde. He and three of his buddies went to the ocean for vacation. One day, they decided to race each other to see how far away from land they could go. Clyde was winning, but it was too late before he found out the reason why he was winning; when he turned around to see where his friends were, one friend was drowning from exhaustion, another was being eaten by a shark, and the other was being squeezed to death by an ocotpus. Clyde tried his best to save his friends, but they all perished, and the young man was devastated. As Clyde tried to save his friends, he formed gills on his rib cage; he hunted down the shark and the octopus and overtook them, making them part of his body. In some way, Clyde avenged his friends, but he was going to keep avenging them.
Clyde soon became known as Speedo Man around the world because he went around to all the oceans to save the hopeless souls who were drowning, being eaten, or being squeezed to death.

My friend was reading this in front of the class; I was holding the picture of Speedo Man...well, as he read it the story, I began to laugh, and to conceal it, I hid my face behind my picture. Then it just became uncontrollable. The images in my head were making me laugh, and I could no longer hide it. So then I'm doing this weird hiccupy laugh in front of my whole psych class, and I can't control it. I had even written the story, and I still laughed at it! It must have been the way my friend read it. I was kind of embarassed, but it was SO funny!!!
