My world was blurry as I tried opening my eyes, my head was pounding, and I could feel a bump where I'd obviously been hit. I tried bringing my hand up to rub where I'd been struck only to find that my hands were bound behind my back. Cursing softly I tried to assess my enviroment without betraying that I was awake. Unfortunatly who ever had hit me was also watching me because the moment I moved someone started talking,
"Mother, Father, she's awake...what do we do with her?"
There was heavy footsteps and then a pair of strong arms lifted me and sat me in a chair. I looked into a harsh male face, I was still in the village that hid from the slavers, and for some reason or another they had taken me hostage.
"So your the little snit that killed the slavers...well at least all but one."
I stared at the man hard,
"What do you mean all but one!?"
The man stood to allow another man to walk over, my mind reeled, it just wasn't possible. The leader of the band, the one that had sheathed my dagger was walking around like he hadn't taken my dagger in the gut. He kneeled in front of me,
"Thought you'd killed me eh? Well it was easily healed since you missed my vital organs. Next time make sure."
I growled low and threw the family housing us a dirty look, they shifted uncomfortably but didn't seem sorry. My face was forced back when the slaver grabbed my jaw and yanked my face toward his.
"Now listen to me...I'm going to take you to the royal city...and I'm going to sell you to the highest bidder. Your spunk will earn me a large bounty for you...so feel free to struggle as much as you want."
I spit in his face in disgust, he simply smiled, and crushed my mouth to his. I shrank back feeling bile rise in my throat, his tongue invaded and conquered, before stopping and leaving my mouth bruised. After the kiss he stood and secured provisions for himself and saddled the horse. I was prepared to be dragged behind, I was a slave now, so I knew there would be no special treatment.
But I was soooo wrong...he put me on the horse with him, and I loathed being this close to my peoples killer!
