Rather than linger over the ignorance demonstrated over the past few weeks, it is time to move forward.
I've taken the advice of a good friend and begun a search for a reconditioned G5 PowerPC to replace one of my G4 towers. Since I won't be able to count on a company replacement for my current computers for some time, I have to spring for one out of my pocket.
After seeing the first demo of Photoshop CS running on the 30" Apple monitor, I was sold. Granted that I'll have to wait a year or two for the price of the monitor and matching graphics card to drop a couple of thousand dollars, but the CPU will hold me over for a couple of years.
As for OS 10.3.6, I have yet to find one problem with my configurations. No problems with external FireWire drives, no math problems with the calculator, no crashes with third party applications. It's golden.
