it lurches

beats erratically

fails at being a heart

this heart that is full of

stitches and oozing wounds

it is hardly in one piece

and yet
Ba...dum.
it keeps trying
Ba...dum.
through everything
Ba...dum.
this heart that was retrieved

revived
Ba...dum.
salvaged
Ba...dum.
from the darkest corner of the world

it is hardly a heart

it still fights
Ba...dum.
beats

lives

and loves

wondering

about this same girl

perfect, metal, bionic 'heart'

and she wondered what

to feel

for she had forgotten

delved into the most horrid, awful, terrible places

to find what she still calls

she found it, of course

and returned to the doctors

who had replaced her heart

the doctors, however reluctant

removed the lovely, working 'heart'

and placed the butchered

disfigured

maimed heart

inside of her

immediately, she shrieked

for the removal of the heart

but the doctors refused

'you'

they said

'you, my dear, made your choice'

and as they walked away

the girl slowly curled around herself

and cried.

    You wrote, "you made you choice" instead of "your."
    Oh if only the heart had a bioinc switch at times, that would perfect. >< These poems are always so cool. They're so unique. They seem long because of the repetition but they actually aren't. Love it.^^
    Hard to whether I prefer the wizard poems or these? :/

    wow. that was amazing. i get such a sense of imagery when i read this and so many emotiond fly through my head. you are really talented ichi. great job.
