Broken Dishes
I lie in my bed
and cover my ears
I start to cry
struggling not to hear
Hear the screaming the
yelling the dishes breaking
Hear yall hitting eachother
and you leaving
The noise grows louder
as you come towards my room
"I'm taking the kids" u yell consumed
consumed with hatred in ur eyes
I hide under my caover
i'm so terrified
The screen door slams shut
and the noise dies down
I come out from under my covers
and walk to my door
I see u setting there
crying on the floor
I run to my closet
and pack my bags
i climb out the window
and swear to never come back
