Move -15 days
Tomorrow, I take another shot at getting my drivers licence. I'd better pass the test this time, because if I don't, I won't be driving my truck to Yuma. I think I'm one of the worst drivers out there, but hey, there are worse drivers than me, and they passed the drive test, so I should be able to, right? I'll just turn into the turn lane this time, and not into the center lane...from the driveway of the DMV. >,< Last time, I failed in under a minute. That sucked.
Anyway, last night, I bought some dish towels, washclothes, and a steering wheel cover for my truck. I don't ever want to learn how to drive with two fingers in Arizona, so I solved the problem before I even get there. A nice cushy steering wheel cover. Oh, and a Gandalf bobble head doll, just because. Lothlorien Apartments, Yuma, AZ. here I come!
My mom seems rather miffed about it all. She's not really talking to me, and when she does, it includes the words "Not that it matters as you're leaving". I think I may have some things to talk about with her.
As for my room, about half my posters, and one of my book shelves are all packed. I'm saving the big bookshelf (I.E the closet) for later, when I find more boxes. I'm scared to even touch my clothes, or my desk drawers.
Zach has some really sweet relitives who are giving us stuff. His mom's got a coffee table, his older sister's got a set of pots and pans. On my side, I might have a set of chairs from my mother, and I know I have a cutlary set. Also, there's a bunch of glasses, and some rudimentary, mismatched plates and silverware that will work for the time being.
If you ask me now if I'm nervous, I'd tell you that I'm not. I'm excited, eager to leave, eager to share my life and my home with Zach. Ask me in two weeks, though. I may have a different answer.
