Pale moon glowing in the east
Children go to rest
Owls take to wing
Young fall asleep to their gentle hooting
Bats opens dark eyes
And wing off to fruit
Creatures stir at the wolves howl
'Tis night
The time of moon and dazzling stars
The moons rides higher
The sun sinks lower
Animals take to paw and wing
Some birds of night begin to sing
Moths flutter low and slow
While night fliers wings high
The wolves prowl as night's king
'Tis night
Nocternals awaken
Plants fall to shadows
Lone creatures streak in darkest woods
All seems desolate
Till the slightest noise breaks
Some wait for yellow sun
other choose to make use of night's cover
Soon as the sun begins to shine
Many beings run and hide
Till dark night falls again
This all happens once more
'Tis Night!
