What does it really mean to be a friend to someone?
No not that buddy crap. In most cases people who mention someone as a friend are referring to an acquaintance someone they want to hang out with, talk to, stuff like that.
It's when things start to turn that you realize who are your friends and who are your 'acquaintances'. A friend is there for the good and the bad and not just say that they are but is there taking in some small part of your suffering. They suffer because you are. Right?
When I tell someone that they are my friend. I mean FRIEND. I ask for nothing in return for the things that I do, because all I want is for my friends to be happy as much as I am able.
I care for them as long as I am allowed to do so.
But it hurts when I realize that someone who I thought was my friend turned out to think otherwise. For some reason that was like a punch in the gut. If I wasn't then what was I to them for so long?
