Well this time last week i turned 17 i didnt have a party for it just a family dinner and a cake mainly because im not big on partys.
Anyway i recieved the usual family presents and cards a few from friends of the family and that was it.
I got a text message from my mate natalie saying happy birthday ive known her for 10 years and get on well with her we arnt close but it was nice for her to wish me happy birthday.
Later that day i recieved a phone call from my best mate emma wishing me happy birthday and informing me she has my present so we will have to meet up soon so she can give it to me she had to be quick though as she was calling in her lunch break and didnt have much time.
And thats all i got i thought mayb my friend ruth would send a text or call or something but she didnt even though i bought her a present for her birthday. its not that i wanted anything off her i just wanted her to ring or something to show she remembered.
My other mate joe forgot to but i think hes in FRance on holiday he usually is this time of year so im not to bothered about him.
I guess i was just dissapointed. Last year i had a great birthday lots of cards and gifts.... this year less than half. And the only thing thats changed is im in college but im still with the same people im friends with. Maybe i was expecting to much, maybe im being stupid...
I guess i figured since i made the effort on their birthday then they should do so on mine.
Am i selfish?
Am i asking too much?
