Well yesterday night was my very first evening shift at Tim Hortons. It was pretty decent, I think I like it better than morning because the time seemed to fly by faster, plus i was more awake and alert. It was alos my first tme on drive through confused . It was kinda scary at first cause you have to move alot faster and the system is different, but after I got used to it I was fine. I don't envy people who have to work drive through during lunch rush, but still. By 10 pm I was working both drive through cause the other people were in the back doing who knows what. Oh and I was also doing inventory at the same time. lol, woot! There was a really creepy dirtbag guy that came through drive thru though. He put some ofr the money in my hand and grabbed on to my hand. When he let go he hadn't even given me the right change, so i had to get him to give me more money. He takes a quater and starts trying to run it up and down my outstretched hand. I grabbed the quarter, shoved his coffee at him and closed the window. *shudders*
Today my sparring class went to another school to train with them. it was really fun cause we haven't actually been able to spar all summer cause blackburns been putting more emphasise on the basics. The stretching wasn't the greatest and I pulled my leg a bit during warm up, so that wasn't so great, but I still kicked pretty hard anyway, so all was good. The guy I was put with for the drills wasn't to great. I could kick faster, harder and better than he could without any effort. When i sparred him, I beat him fairly easily because he couldn't recover fast enough and he was really slow. I sparred this really tall girl who wouldn't come in at all. It was so frustrating because i had to move alot more. I tried moving around to get her to do something, but it didin't work, so I had to come in to kick.
Whenever i did, she come in really close to close up and then grab the top of my Hogu and hold me in place so she could kick. It's quite illlegal to do that by the way, but some people are told to fight like that. I was surprised that she did it so blatantly though because most people try to make it inconspicuous so as not to get called for it. The second time i fought her I had learned her fighting style, so I was better able to cope with it. I would just shoot in and kick and then clench up so she didn't have a chance to grab me. Then I'd put my arms underneath hers in a way that she could back up to kick like she normally would. Eventually she got tired of that so she started to back up when i came in. I, of course, being a true canterbury student, hunted her down, which actually worked surprisingly well.
I fought some other matches to, won some and lost some, but it was pretty fun. andrew pumled some guy. It was hilarious. The poor guy got smoked in the stomach and flew backwards on to his a**. He just looked at his coach to kinda be like 'what the hell was that!' but his coach looked equaly in awe. I don't blame them, Andrew is a scray, angry kid when he spars. They had some pretty good guys too though. Luckily the national champ who normally trains there wasn't there today.
Anywho, thats about it for my super eventful life rolleyes
