Ramblings and nonsense and junk, oh my! :O
Stalkers? :ninja:
So I clicked on "My Journal". I see that 24 people have read my second entry. I have about 20 people on my Friendslist. And a few of them haven't signed onto to Gaia for awhile. So that means some random people are reading my journal. Stalkers! eek ninja All right, so I do the exact same thing. I read random people's Journals without commenting. I myself am a stalker. domokun Just thought I'd mention that. xd

Gaian News

I just hit my 9000th post today. 3nodding Most of it is just chatting with other users. xd However, back when I was more active, I used to be one of the top 1000 posters on Gaia. ninja OK, so that was when Gaia had a smaller population, but I was still there. Once. domokun For anyone who wants to check their rank, click on Memberlist. Then click on "Total Posts" under 'Select Sort Method' on the drop down menu on the right, and then click "Descending" next to 'Order' on the other drop down menu on the right. Warning: it will probably take a bit of time to load.

In other news, I hit a personal record of getting four Pink Links today. eek All of them were in the Exchange forum. In fact, three of them were in the same Sticky. surprised heart So now I'm 4K richer. Except 6K of my gold is 'misplaced' in the Bank glitch. I know it's still there, though. I'm just waiting for the other person to confirm. ^^;

And now a little rant about Gaia. Gaian ads, actually. A few days ago, I was lurking in the Exchange (as usual). You know those banner ads on the main forums? Well, I usually don't pay attention to them. Except one caught my eye. Why? Because it was an ad for genital herpes. That's right, genital herpes. Gaia is a PG-13 site, correct? However, we all know that there are several users younger than 13. What if one of those users clicked on that banner? Isn't that a little disturbing? Actually, I find it disturbing in general for several reasons. gonk For the record, I haven't seen that particular ad for the past couple of days. Instead, I see ads for online dating, orange juice, fishing...(I guess advertising really does work. =_=) The point is, I'm not sure if the Gaian population is really the target audience for all of these ads. Not to mention the fact that I think some of them are inappropriate. Remember those ads on the Gaian homepage? They were great. Not only did you get gold when you clicked them, they were actually anime related. Besides, you only saw them once a day or so. Now, the ones we see all the time in the forums and after we post usually don't have anything to do with anime. And I haven't dared to try clicking them for gold. xp In conclusion, I'd like to say that, yes, I understand the fact that more sponsors means a better Gaia. Yes, I want a better Gaia. Yes, advertising was pretty much inevitable. I only wish that the ads were selected with a little more care.

My Own Advertising

No, I don't think this contradicts my rant at all. -blinks- Enjoy. >_>

Would you like to read Extremely Insane's Journal? Please comment, because it will make her happy. wink It's one of my first Subscriptions. Oh, and if you want to see something a little freaky, subscribe to someone's Journal. After you click the Pirate on the "Subscribe" button, take a good look at the smilie on "Unsubscribe" button. Bleeding eye, anyone? confused

Speaking of smilie Pirates, check out MeThinX's Shop. He provides a very nice set of extended smilies. And his Pirate pwns Gaia's smilie Pirate on the "Subscribe" button. whee

Sickness

I'm getting sick. I think I have a cold. I'm usually not sick, though. It's been months since my last cold. Anyway, I blame the good old rhinovirus on my congestion, runny nose, and tiredness. Which meant I couldn't really concentrate on my homework (though I did complete one of my assignments). Instead, I went on Gaia. Nice to know I've got my priorities straight. xp I even drank hot chocolate and ate chicken noodle soup today. I took a nap and ended up feeling a little worse. O_o I don't have the chills yet, though. I don't know if it's the same for a virus, but if you have malaria, getting chills is the result of protista infecting your red blood cells. The malaria-causing protists then replicate inside the cells, and when finished replicating, burst out of the blood cells. In addition to rupturing the blood cells, the bursting sends out all the waste products the protista produced while replicating into your bloodstream. It is this shock to the system that results in chills to the body. 3nodding Glad I mentioned that, right? Sorry, sorry. sweatdrop But it at least proves I studied a little bit. I'm learning about protista right now. xd

And so, goodnight. I need a little extra sleep tonight. whee

    I think I saw that add before. I was like staring at it for a good 5 minutes wondering, "What the hell...." My mom hit me in the back of the head for cursing, so I hate that ad.

    I get sick on a regular basis. Not with the cold or anything, I just have lots and lots of headaches. Did you know that the doctor actually gives you perscription medicine for headaches? I was all like, "Dude, where's the asprin?" and the doctor laughs at me and pats me on the head. I felt like a four year-old. But hey, I got a lollipop!

    I should save that bleeding up bottom and just use it a lot when rating avatars. People would hate me, but it would be true. The avatars do make my eyes bleed.

    And you advertised me! I feel so loved! Now I must remember to advertise you even though my journal isn't all that popular and most likely sucks. I update like every 3 hours. I'm addicted. X_X

    You really don't have to advertise my journal. It will just increase the number of stalkers. O_o;
