Prologue: The Dark Secret
*Alarm clock goes off and I stir to shut it off*.. *sigh*
Morning, tch what's so special about today. Frankly I don't care if I turn 18 it's just another year closer to the day I unfortunately die.
Might as well get ready for school.
*Walks to dresser and closet to grab some clothes and then heads off to take a shower*
I hear my mother's voice chime through the door and the sound of water against the floor. "Haoumaru, hurry up with that shower, I have a gift waiting for you downstairs." *I laugh* "I hope its not another birthday breakfast again, you almost made me late time."
I spoke loudly and stubbornly. "Just hurry up and get your butt downstairs."
*I finish with my shower and get my clothes on and things ready and head downstairs*
"Oh what is it Mom, jeez you never have patience."
"Oh stop complaining I have something for you." *She puts a chain around my neck with a pendant attached to it that had a dark red stone embedded inside of it, I looked at the pendant with a surprised look on my face*
"What is this?" *My mother made adjustments to the position of the chain and pendant* "It's something your father bought for you before you were born, he told me he planned to give this to you when you turned 18."
"I guess I should go visit Father again and pay him thanks" My Father died four years ago, I'd rather not talk about it...
"You should Haoumaru, it would make him happy." "I know mom" I said looking down as I did not want her to see the tears that had been developing in my eyes nor did I want to see hers.
*I glanced at the time 7:09 "Oh, I have to go or I'm going to miss the bus *I Kiss my mother* see you when I get home."
*I begin to walk towards the door as I sling my backpack on my back*
"Are any of your friends coming by, just so I know if you wanted to have a small get together"
"Yeah, Hayato, Nash, and Luther are coming over, just make sure we have a lot of junk food" *I close the door and walk off to the bus stop*
Tch 18 and no car yet .. well I guess I could see why Mom is worried for my safety I guess since me and Anji are the only ones she has left....*looks up and sees the bus waiting for me*.. "Oh Christ, now I'm going to witness the effects of the bus driver's PMS again" *Runs towards the bus*....
*The Starting of his changed life.. the Pendant that Haoumaru bears around his neck is the key he needs to be what his father was. His older brother Anji has this same Pendant only with a different stone. Haoumaru is really Half Demon , but only with that Pendant can he become his true self. Unless he gives up his Human soul to be a full fledged Demon. Haoumaru is unaware of his dark secret... for now....*
and this is just something I'm writing off the top of my head here so I'm not putting a whole lot of thought into this story
