i'll talk smack on Gaia itself perhaps some other day...
okay... so i don't post that often, and for good reason.

- too many people don't even read all the pages in a given thread, and it's freaking annoying... so, if anyone actually posts something intelligent, it gets ignored, and ignorant people continue to blindly spew forth all manner of feces-like substances they believe to be the correct opinion about a given subject without even giving thought to whats been said already.. it's like, 'no, no, no. WHAT I SAY is the absolute truth. duh.' (absolute truth. . . that'll be the subject of the next entry, for those of you who care).

+ however, i do agree that intelligent arguments and conversations go on (i read through quite a bit of threads on gaia) in gaia, though they are greatly overshadowed by a great deal of stench-filled opinions, and usually doods trying to get points acrossed to one another have to wade through such crap just to get to eachother...
(and yeah, gaia can be a great place to get information if you're completely clueless about something... but that's really not the issue)

*EDIT- i've changed my mind - usually happens EVERYWHERE. if somebody's commenting in a thread, i usually see people repeat what others have already said, like, they just barely read through the first post, and hit the reply button..or whatevuh. . . plus... people just naturally suck at everything...

- relating this to what i've just said... i see stuff pop up as if it's a cry for some form of social communication or acceptance to something they enjoy.. sorta like trying to grab some quick friends because you have this great infatuation for something... like anime.. or something.. example - "Does anyone in here like [insert form of media or entertainment]!!?!"

+ sure... thats sorta how friends start out at first sometimes.. like, an alliance towards a common thing that people have a desire to talk about or do... i understand that. BUT, little posts like this turn into... excuses to talk about themselves.. or just.. talk. i see most of this as a wasteful.. unprogressive way of living... or communicating..

::i dunno... you'd just have to see most the posts that do this... there's too many of 'em... which spawn those 'elitist' arrogant chumps that feel they have to let everybody know that all the threads are repeats... sometimes it's necessary.. but rarely is it necessary... this crap usually happens in... the art discussion... sports.. and a few others... but still, gaia is just like the world.. cause it's made up of real people.. people are stupid...(myself WAY included) and when the majority of the people are more.... uhhh.. inexperienced.. i guess socially.. because they're younger.. and haven't had much opportunity to exist in a 'real' world... things can get annoying..

i'm not saying that gaia's full of little selfish kids actin' all hardcore 'n stuff.. wich is why most of 'em stay away from the good ED threads... or other conversations... but it doesn't mean young kids can't be smart, make good points or whatever...

there's just this stagnation that seems to linger around gaia... you see it every once in a while.. and even more if you know what to look for..

i guess what i'm saying is i hate it when people talk about worthless shiz... don't think for themselves... and don't have open minds... -which are common traits of the majority of gaia.. nowadays..
if chu gonna say somethin', it jez better be worth it, mang.

------------------------------sorry... no art for this post.. i've been busy gettin' ready for some art contest.... i'll hit you guys up with the results when it ends.. (deadline is the 18th... i still haven't done anything.. pirate

---------BUT WAIT!!! how about a quick story: i was out running at about... 11pm.. i was chased by a dog uphill all the way from one corner of this block, to the other, where a sinclaire gas station is.. xd .. so.. about a little over a fourth of a mile. heheh... that was the first time i've ever been chased by a dog that didn't give up.. sure, he stopped running full speed after me about half way, but he still followed me, just in case i got tired and slowed down..

i ran into the gas station.. laughing as i closed the door behind me.. pretended like i was shopping for a little bit..

funny thing though, i'm pretty sure that dog belonged to one of my good XC friends.. domokun
