cold water can shock the body enough to cause one to pass out. This is what happened when i hit the water. it was winter and there was a little ice, thin, but sharp. so on impact, i was cut in a dozen places, my eyes were open when i hit the ice, the water was very cold, and my cloths were heavy with water instantly. once i passed out, i had no air and water entered my lunges. i drifted out and deeper into the water. i died. one day and two nights later, i woke up.
i was in an icebox on a fishing boat and i was currently defrosting at a high speed. opening the lid with the steam bellowing around me must have looked like a grade A horror film moment. while stepping out i hadn't realized that it was a horror film moment. my face was missing half of my cheek, my eyes were...gross, and my legs, arms and torso has skin missing in several areas. "Fish food" would be a good teen nickname.
