Prologue
As I awoke from my sleep I stared at the roof of my room for several long minutes. My forehead covered in sweat from all my nightmares that I had received in my torturing slumber in my hammock. I could not stand this much longer. What was causing these haunting nightmares? Nothing could answer that; my nightmares had been like a messed up time line, my dreams kept repeating there self to my past as a human. They were repeating the death of the one I loved to highest amount, Angel. Her name was Amy, but the only one that called her that was Rinkishu, a mage who helped me get through my missions and he told me how I was the Blood Prodigy and how I needed to save Blood Moon Isle from a destined curse put upon the land by a necromancer who’s name was unknown even by the oldest of sages. Angel and I were close, she was my soul mate, but it changed soon after the day of the Sparta War.
The Sparta War was a war when the Empyrean Regiment went against Sparta; apparently Sparta wanted to burn Blood Moon to the horrible depths below. The Regiment came to Blood Moon Isle for two reasons, and they were mainly revolved around saving Blood Moon. One was that the Regiment knew that Sparta was coming to Blood Moon to destroy it, much like many other forgotten lands before. The other reason was because they also heard from there main source, the Regiment Scouts a separate rank for those specialized in getting information, told of the curse to the Regiment.
The Regiment knowing much more then what other thought decided to come to Blood Moon and build a base, sending a few soldiers with it. Eventually they got tired of waiting and sent the second in command, Rinkishu, out by his self to look for the Blood Prodigy, me. Rinkishu for a while just decided to explore Blood Moon for treasure and went through towns challenging all that seem capable to be the Blood Prodigy.
It then came to Rinkishu was tired of searching and failing and he just went to the Dust Fang bar and over think everything. Blood Moon had nothing to do with the Regiment, he though, why was he doing all this to save the land that was barely know by his homeland. He got a bit of luck that moment, maybe the heavens sent a sign or something, but he never noticed that luck. I ordered a cup of goonsie. He needed something to drink, so out of mostly anger he pulled his sword out, Ferus Virus, at me and took it. Apparently we were both angered, I had just forgotten my past not to long ago and apparently not happy. With shear force I pushed the sword out my face and yelled out at him.
He walked out the door of the bar slowly and he was challenging me of course I accepted and lost poorly. He left with out a reason and said only one thing, remember Rinkishu. I then started to always remember that name and trained to challenge him.
I met him about three years later and challenged him, he offered a bet if I won I would get the sword, Ferus Virus, and if he won I would have to join the Regiment. I won, but learned the sword had a curse in which the vines Rinkishu controlled came out and would take the sword back. I felt trick and began to get angry. Rinkishu with nothing, but a smile knowing he finally found the Blood Prodigy then told me of it.
I was hungry and hadn’t ate in awhile I decided join. I then went through much training and met Angel. Her brown hair was stunning and nothing compared to her eyes. I went on a mission one day with Angel and Rinkishu sent us to find scrolls. He told us specifically not to open to scrolls, with stupidity I tried to open them, but stop. Unfortunately the meadow we were in was known as Windgale Meadow and the wind was high in speed and it blew the scroll open. It gave a bright flash and I awoke in my bed in the Regiment.
Rinkishu then told me of the scrolls, he had tricked me and they enhanced my abilities to control the wind, an ability obtained from the Wolf Spirit.
Well, as the Sparta war began I was the only one left healthy and the designated challenger to go against Caedes in Windgale Meadow. I fought bravely, but could not compare against Caedes abilities. He won as he sent a blow to my chest. I was angered and yelled out to him that he was evil. Caedes was the kind of man that did not see the world as evil or good. He was not either he did as he did, not with alignment.
He found Angel hiding in the bushes during our battle and held him up to me as the final time I would see her alive. Caedes dropped one of his swords and pierced her back with another one. She was dead and that moment I changed much.
We buried her by the Regiment and Rinkishu and others saw her fall into the ground in her casket. That night I went berserk with rage only a demonic wolf could do. I killed all in my way, and injured many.
I fought everything in sight and eventually ran out of energy until I was close to practically death. Mari found me she bit me, she needed blood and I needed life. So her self made the deal as I was knocked out. I was then a vampire and led to Vampire Mountain by her, also know as Vampiro Mountain.
I now live here were I am now. I sleep in my hammock everyday trained by other of my race.
“Alan!” Kinara called across my room “You okay.”
“I’m fine just thinking of the past…” I replied.
”You’ve been doing that a lot lately, is it the nightmare.”
“Yes…”
