I built an army on the vampire side for the 2007 Halloween event.

House of Leaves: great work of fiction, complete fourth wall breaker.
The Book of Five Rings: written by Miyamoto Musashi, a book on sword-fighting
The Hagakure: an excellent book on the Way of the Warrior (Bushido)
The Art of War: one of the most famous war books written. Sun Tzu.
The Alita series: a manga run. Great cyber-punk, worth the read.
Um, on the movie front..
30 Days of Night: awesome comic, awesome movie.
The Jacket: a little known film starring Adrian Brody and Kierra Knightly, very good.
Planet Terror: zombie film, part of Grindhouse.
