and. . . a fun little running experience - yes. i run. a lot.
okay, so sometimes, i like to just pick a single direction and see how far it goes. i'm weird like that.
i've already found one, as i like to call them, "end of the level"
it's like, the road just stops.. blockades in front of chainlink fence, with a canal.. or something.. or something else. it's just the end of the level.
ANYways, i found another end of the level, saturday night. that makes two so far. well, it was kinda funny, because there were these two guys talking at the the very end. they probably saw me coming from a long ways off, since i just followed this straight, busy road thing. i get there, touch one of the signs with the yellow and black stripes, and just head back in the same direction i came from. they had these really confused looks on their faces. i think i ran just a little bit over an hour..
oh yeah, so on my way back - i see this dog cheggin' out some people's yard. he looks pretty lean, or whatever. he's got a chain around his neck.
i start running in the gutter, cause i can just tell what sort of attitude a dog has most of the time. i don't bug him, he won't bug me. everybody wins.
well. first, i speed up the pace before i pass him, so he doesn't have a lot of time to make up his mind. i guess i started running on the sidewalk too soon, because i notice he's right behind me. little chains clinking together.
the chain noises start getting more violent, and i now he's gonna try and chase me down immediately.
so, immediately, i pick up the pace to 'getting chased by dog speed' - which is, running faster than the dog until the dog gives up. loosing in speed is out of the question, because then, you've got a new set of teeth in your legs.
so after about a good. . . 6 seconds (after i had called the dog on, of course. "COME ON. COME ON DOG! (that's all i said, and i think i might've been laughing.)) the dog gave up.
it was good. i hadn't been chased by a dog in quite some time.
