I honestly didn't anticipate how dramatically and quickly things would change after the summer. Obviously my brain registered that with the starting of new University's, Colleges and various other endeavors undertaken by our clan some change would occur but not this much. I'm in a strange mood at the time I'm writing this I suddenly miss the people who've moved away so much more than I have done and yet part of me misses the people who haven't moved away too. It's difficult to explain.
I need to shake off this sentimental mopey mood so I'll move onto happier things. Today I actually managed to meet up with another person in our group! Huzzah! And whats more I'm no longer a poorer than the average student poor person but merely a poor student with loans and bursaries in his bank. Exciting stuff huh?
Anyways we ventured into town to be all student-like and buy books. I managed to purchase a book for my European History Module and the self-indulgent part of me bought a book for a little leisure reading in the form of Cara Black's "Murder in Montmartre" which I've wanted for awhile. If I'm honest I felt so guilty buying a non-academic book which is strange when compared to my usual outlook on money. Perhaps its a sign that I'm growing up all this being careful with money.
This week my Seminars for each module officially begin and so do the long days sadly. Although I discovered today that my days aren't actually as long as I'd first anticipated. Tomorrow I'll be there between two and six which isn't too stressful, then Wednesday Nine AM till Twelve thirty which again is tolerable, but then comes Thursday possibly the worst day of my week Nine AM till Six PM with two lectures and two seminars fun fun fun. I shouldn't really complain as it's literally my second week.
